The hostel bunkbed rooms, atmosphere and service was excellent! There are curtains, a plug and a light in each bed, also clean. the only issue is the building where is located, it’s old and not mantained, so it looks a little scary…

The noises outside but it doesn't affect me much when I sleep.

I like the location which is very close to the landmark and lots of restaurants around us. The room is decent. I just say you get what you pay for and it is a good deal.

Rhala was very central to downtown but a little off the main area so was fairly quiet. Like an oasis and being met by very helpful and kind Abdul we had a lovely stay here. The breakfast was very good (omelette falafel strawberries bread etc). The facilities were excellent and the atmosphere welcoming. Trying to book a taxi to Sphinx airport getting close to Ramadan breakfast was challenging but Abdul helped us enormously even kindly taking us (and bags) to meet the taxi.

We were very impressed with the rooms in this budget friendly accommodation. It was clean, extremely spacious, and beds were comfy. 24/7 staff. I would stay here in a heartbeat if we came back to Cairo. There was even enough space for us to work in the room which was really great. WiFi was faster than most that we’ve had in egypt.

Beyond words! I'll be always grateful to all the staff of Rhala, as well my lovely room and the beautiful city of Cairo. I've been travelling for years and had many hostel experiences, but this one was exceptional. If this is your first time in the city, there can't be any better location to discover around. Great breakfast, good coffee, clean and spacious room always smiling, helpful and friendly staff that made my room a home. Thank you guys, and see you soon!

My stay at the Rhala hostel was absolutely magical, a true home away from home. I felt incredibly welcomed and surrounded by the community, which allowed me to create wonderful connections with local Egyptians and feel like part of something special. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and supported, with everyone ready to help me plan my journey, find train tickets, bus rides, and excursions. It was an incredible experience that allowed me to deeply immerse myself in the vibrant life of Cairo’s youth.

In the shared dormitory the beds are in wooden "boxs" and 4 of them connected to each other. Once a person turns at night, the others would all feel it.

Best staff ever! The guys are super nice, always ready to help or just to have a short chat with you. Location also very good.

Our room was next to the balcony and there is very little soundproofing so can be loud in the evening. It didn’t bother us much but just a note.
