Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe shower gets the whole bathroom floor wet, I had to mop up the floor with a towel.
The views from the rooftop restaurant are very special. The pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Staff were very helpful. The room was comfortable and not too warm For me it was a good location. Good check out time so didn't feel rushed. Good breakfast selection. Room felt secure. The fridge was handy for bottled water.

Restaurant, staff and views were great. The three bed setup helped. It was close to what we were looking for (suite with separate bedrooms). It was also easy to extend stay.

PolandThere is a small problem that the road separates the hotel from the museum, but we ordered Uber and it was ok :). The hotel is also right on the road, so earplugs were useful.
Very good hotel, opposite the GEM with a beautiful view of the pyramids. Hotel after renovation, spacious and clean rooms. Beautiful terrace with good breakfasts and dinner. But the best thing was the helpful staff, they helped us with organizing trips to Alexandria and Karia and were also very helpful. Thank you.

United KingdomAwkward getting across the main road to the museum (we got a taxi!) but they are building an underpass. Bed sheet was not quite large enough for the bed and the shower could have benefitted from better drainage, but apart from that the room was great.
Comfortable room with a view of the pyramids and king size bed. Friendly and helpful staffThe bar/ restaurant upstairs serves a good buffet breakfast and meals in the evening, with good variety and healthy options such as mint and lemon drink, ful, tahini and fresh fruit. Outside terrace overlooking the museum and pyramids. Helpful staff will arrange taxis, tours etc as required.

United KingdomPillows were rock hard. At the moment, due to roadworks, there are no means to cross the highway to go to the museum right opposite, so you need an Uber/Ndrive
Location is great for trips to the pyramids or the Grand Museum. Rooms spotlessly clean and the views amazing. The breakfast of the highest quality and the staff polite and professional.

SpainThe shower tray overflowed, making the floor extremely slippery. The room although very nice was showing signs of wear and tear, several insects left bloody and squashed on the walls. Bathroom door chipped, paint flaking from walls. Curtains were grey blackouts, and maybe info regarding local area should be updated.
The staff were amazing, any problems that occurred were quickly and efficiently sorted. The view from our room was amazing, and the bed was super comfortable.

MalaysiaThe only downside was that the bathroom would flood while showering, so we had to wait 5-10 minutes for the water to drain before the next person could use it.
The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, and the view from our room was directly facing the Pyramid Museum—absolutely stunning! The breakfast selection was quite varied, offering more than just local food. Staff also responded to messages quickly, which was very convenient. Highly recommend!

United StatesWish there was direct access to walk to GEM. There is a busy divided highway blocking the hotel from the museum. We had to haggle with taxis in both directions. We did bargain to 100LE in each direction.
Room and bed were very nice A few engineering problems need fixing and were fixed. Staff was very helpful and very pleasant. Restaurant has a prize view of GEM and the pyramids Food is mediocre

CyprusBed was a bit hard, and there were not enough hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. Also quite noisy from the highway traffic in front of the hotel.
Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We didn't have a mobile phone or Uber app, and staff arranged most of our transfers for us. Also arranged for a driver-guide to take us to the Giza pyramids on our last morning. Incredible view from our room. Rooftop restaurant was wonderful - view, breakfast buffet, dinner menu.

Sri LankaBathroom were clean at the time of entry although a smell persisted for some time… there were few niggling concerns which the staff made changes and attended to…leaky plumbing in commode was a concern as well as lack of an adequate splash curtain allowed water to seep out when taking a shower or washing…
Excellent breakfast consisting of both Mediterranean and western cuisine, staff was attentive to our preferences…we dined at their restaurant and the meal size was more than ample although more variety would have been welcome, food was well prepared and tasty, my family with two kids liked it !

South AfricaThe hotel is very good. The price is very affordable for what we are getting. The reception desk is 24 hours. The hotel is 24 hours secured by Security. There is available to pick up & drop off from & to the Airport 🛫🛬. If you want to use the car for any sightseeing tour, you are more than welcome to use the car with the driver with extra cost. Next to the hotel out side there is National Banks of Egypt, so if you need to change your foreign currency, you can use the ATM machine to deposit your money and the machine will gove out in Egyptian Pounds 💷. This will be done within 3 to 5 minutes. The ATM is available to use 24 hours. Rooms: The rooms are outstanding 👏. Very neat and clean. The walls are not dirty or any damages. Outstanding light work and paint work outside of the rooms as well. The beds are very comfortable and have very good condition. Not bad smell or anything like strain. Shower 🚿 & Toilets 🚻: The shower and toilet are neat and very clean. It's maintained very well. Hot water is available 24 hours. Roof top Restaurant:- The restaurant is situated on the rooftop, which is the 6th floor. The view of the pyramid and the GEM Museum is excellent during the morning and night time. We are pure Vegitarian 👌 but still had very good tasty 😋 foods for 4 days. Staff & Service: The Royal Great pyramid inn has Great staff to treat their guests as Royal treatments. Quite away from the small town which is near pyramid. Able to see pyramid from hotel. Overall, it's a clean & comfortable hotel

United StatesThe traffic noise was less than tolerable. One thing about a room comprised of 70 percent windows makes any outdoor noise very loud; people like to honk all hours of the night and even with ear plugs it was difficult to sleep.
The breakfast was delicious, although the only coffee came from a barista and when we wanted a second cup, we were told that we had to pay $8.00 for it. Hey, we're from the US where a cuppa of mediocre coffee is unlimited!the location of the Inn--right across a busy road from the GEM within sight of the Giza Pyramids was the highlight.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, who were very flexible and accommodating. The staff were very knowledgeable and were happy to assist us with making arrangements for some of our excursions. Breakfast was excellent. Location was great. Free airport pickup was an exceptional bonus also, especially given how chaotic the airport is.
