The hotel is very clean and offer a lot of services, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. One of the best hotels I have had stay at it.

I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively and stay in some of the world’s finest hotels, including those carrying the prestigious 7-star label. Yet, nothing prepared me for the experience I had here. From the very first moment, it wasn’t just the luxury of the property that stood out, it was the atmosphere, the effortless warmth, and the genuine smiles that seemed to light up every corner. The staff were not simply attentive; they were intuitive, anticipating our needs before I even voiced them. Special mention must go to Mohamed *2 from reception and Steven, who consistently went far beyond expectations, and AbdulRahim from the beach restaurant along with his team, whose service was on an entirely different level. The golf cart team were equally exceptional—helpful, courteous, and cheerful at all times. Without exception, every staff member demonstrated a professionalism and kindness that left a lasting impression. Their ability to go above and beyond redefined for me what true hospitality means. To say they “went the extra mile” feels like an understatement, they made us feel not just like guests, but like family. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was uplifting, elegant, and relaxed all at once. Every detail, from the way we were greeted to the thoughtful personal touches in service was flawlessly executed. I never imagined I would say this about a hotel in Egypt which makes me very proud, but this hotel has set a new benchmark, one that even the world’s most acclaimed properties could learn from. Truly, an unforgettable experience. Finally, I would like this note of appreciation to be shared directly with Mr. Ayman, the General Manager, and his assistant (I believe his name is Mr. Magdi). Their leadership is clearly reflected in the culture and spirit of the entire team, and they deserve to know how deeply their efforts are valued. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (and if I could give more, I would!)

We had a truly excellent experience at Steigenberger Alya Marsa Alam. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and cleanliness stood out. The atmosphere of the resort is warm and welcoming, with a lovely blend of relaxation and elegance. The food was of great quality, with plenty of variety and delicious flavors. Special compliments to the hotel manager, Mr. Karim, for running everything so smoothly. The reception team was outstanding, and we would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Steven at the front desk for his professionalism and kindness. At the Mashawi Beach Restaurant, manager Mr. Abd El Raheem made sure every detail was perfect, while in the Sultana Main Restaurant, the staff members Mr. Emad, Mr. Mohamed, and Mr. Yahya provided excellent service with genuine smiles. Housekeeping was also remarkable – thank you to Mr. Ahmed for keeping our room spotless and comfortable throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with a lovely upgrade to a Deluxe Sea View Room, which offered the most amazing views of the Red Sea – an unforgettable highlight of our holiday. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations in every way. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-quality hospitality in Marsa Alam!

So cool and relaxing

I Liked that at the reception they helped us booking the restaurant for the night even if we were out of time for the booking. We only stayed for one night, but the place is really elegant, quite (too quite for us, as at 11 p.m. nobody was around), swimming pools are big, clean and beautiful. The food is amazing (not only for dinner but even at breakfast). Our room was very clean, but quite small. Modern but had no personality. You could be anywhere in the world, standard.

The fact that I didn't like at all is that at the end of our stay, during check-out, they asked us to review the hotel. but insisted we do it together on the spot, saying it would only take a few seconds. I thought they did this so guests wouldn’t forget to leave a review later. In reality, they do it because they guide you to give the property the highest possible rating in every category to maintain their overall score. My Booking app hadn’t worked since our arrival at the property, and I thought it was just a Booking issue. But now I believe the hotel caused it on purpose: in fact, at check-out, to let you write the review, they create a hotspot from the receptionist’s phone (disconnecting you from the hotel’s official Wi-Fi), and suddenly Booking magically starts working again. Another thing we didn't like is that they oblige men to wear long trousers in their restaurants (you are notified that as soon as you finalize the booking). The coral reef is quite grey there, with not many colorful fishes as we saw in other spots, but we only stayed for one day so maybe we weren't lucky. It is the right place for guests who want a very very quite spot. The triple room we booked wasn't ready at our arrival, but maybe because we booked it on Booking 45 minutes before our arrival there.

The property is simply amazing. The amenities, the staff, the entertainment, the proximity to the beach and reef all make this property exceptional. The friendliness of the staff goes beyond what we’ve ever experienced elsewhere. They kept on checking up on us to make sure that everything was perfect. They paid attention to every detail. The attention to details in the construction and decoration of the property is also worth mentioning. The property is gorgeous and very elegant.

The room is spacious and generally clean. The food was absolutely great, lots of options and I could eat any time of the day. The pools are taken care of, so are the greens on the territory. Furniture is fairly new and fresh. I did enjoy the fact, that there was a gym, but it could have been slightly bigger. In general the place is very pretty and nice for the people who look for a calming vacation rather then a partying one. I personally loved the fact, that it did not have any noise in the middle of the night and no waisted people.

The balcony door lock was broken and the room literally was all the time unlocked if you wanted to enter from the garden. I did not have an AC controller in the room and could not change the temperature myself. In the bathroom the liquids in hand soap, shower gel and shampoo did not differ. My hair was a complete mess after washing it with assumingly hand soap. This was upsetting in a 5* hotel. I recommend you take your shampoo and conditioner with you, coming here. The room service was pushy and wouldn't let me be alone, unless I turned on the "do not disturb" butten. And what's worse is even when I did and was sitting in the garden, they would come to the garden to talk to me. Extraverts would perhaps love it, but if you plan on having your introverted moments in peace, you might be disappointed.

The hotel was amazing, I didn’t want to leave. I spent 10 wonderful days! The staff was absolutely fantastic: so kind, attentive, and always available to help. The food was great too. There was a buffet every morning and evening with a wide variety of choices. In addition, you could book dinner once in each of the four à la carte restaurants (Asian, Italian, Seafood, and Lebanese). At the buffet, one of the main waiters, Mohammed, was especially kind and welcoming. The place itself is stunning. Our room was beautiful, and the housekeeper was very kind and creative: every day he surprised us with amazing towel sculptures and decorations that always impressed me. There were several beautiful pools, and the gardens were very well kept. I also loved the beach: the sea, full of incredible corals, was accessible only via a jetty, but it was absolutely worth it as you could see so many wonderful fish. Every evening the hotel organized great shows; my favorite was the circus, but all of them were very entertaining! I’ll definitely come back to this hotel! It was truly an amazing experience.

Some very small things that could be improved are the shower (the water was either too hot or too cold), the WiFi, and the air conditioner, which was a little too noisy. The only disappointing thing was the tour organizer. We wanted to go to Marsa Mubarak and he told us to leave the hotel at 8. When we arrived at the boat, nobody was there yet, and the boat keeper was very surprised to see us so early. We were 1 hour and 30 minutes ahead of everyone else, so we had to wait a long time. The organizer clearly got the timing wrong.

The view was awesome and the facilities were great

The best resort in the whole region and one of the best hotels I went to during my many travels to Egypt. This hotel surpassed all my expectations ! A perfect blend of comfort and luxury. All the staff was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The food was delicious and tasty with a wide variety of options to choose from. It's also such a quite place compared to the other hotels around, excellent for couples in a peaceful and romantic environment. Many thanks to all the staff for their kindness and professionalism. We had such a wonderful stay at Alaya and we will definitely come back again 😊

The best all-inclusive hotel we’ve ever stayed at – first-class services, outstanding food with great variety, spotless rooms cleaned daily (swimup room 2004), and fantastic programs organized by Marta and Gonzo. We’re so glad we met them!

Amazing accommodation!

We liked everything about this resort. We enjoyed having a swim-up room. Worth every penny. The staff were super friendly & very accomodating. Taking care of all of our needs. We felt very looked after. Our room was very comfortable & impeccably cleaned everyday. The foods was delicious at all of the restaurants that we ate at. The buffet was amazing with lots of choice & very nicely presented.

We noticed quite a few pigeons on the upper floors which left a lot mess due to the droppings. This would put us off from having an upper floor room. Otherwise there really isn't a lot that we didn't like.

Our experience at Steigenberger Resort Alaya Marsa Alam was excellent from start to finish. The level of service exceeded all expectations. Beautiful, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, terraces, and, most importantly, separate bathrooms with good doors (not glass), wonderful pools, very clean, bar staff and poolside staff do everything possible to ensure a pleasant stay. Delicious and varied food and desserts, lots of fresh fruit, and absolutely delicious smoothies made from mango, strawberry, and agave. They were magnificent. A very good gym, it has everything you need for a quality workout. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. And would love to visit this hotel again.

We were satisfied with the diverse selection of food, the enjoyable beach experience, and the quality of service provided across various outlets. The staff is so kind, there is good life guard (big il to Omar, who was so kind), the cleaning was perfect, the food was amazing and varied. the atmoaphere is relaxing and perfect for spending good holidays. We saw only kind person. The housman, Abd El Rahim, let always our room perfect, we sometimes had some decoration in the bed. I rally recommand this resort! Thanks for everything !!

Everything. The friendliness of the staff. The amazing customer service. The attention to details in making guests stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel facilities is in pristine condition and the pool is amazing with very smart sun beds set up to endure privacy. The beach is amazing with eco-friendly sun beds and shades. The safety is a priority with signs everywhere and entrance and exist is well marked. The Room is impressive ( we at stayed in Deluxe room with sea view) even better than described. The landscape and greenery is amazing ( I have seen maintenance team working silently at night to make sure the place looks perfect and clean when guests wake up next day).The Food quality and choice of food items (With multiple al carte restaurant we choose the Asiana and Seafood). Definitely will come back.
