Costa RicaBathroom layout was weird. Didn't have a place to put soap inside the shower. Our room was facing the street and there was a strong light that prevent me from sleeping well.
The room was big and beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Room had kitchen and fridge. Near the metro station. They allowed us to store our luggage early before check in.

MaltaOverall, we enjoyed our stay at VP Madrono and would recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid. The hotel was very nice, modern and clean however we would have preferred to have a heartier breakfast, as it was rather limited. We also kept on hearing the noise from nearby rooms and the hall outside our room.
As previously mentioned, the hotel was very clean and the staff was very attentive. The décor was very modern and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious.

United KingdomIt was a little bit noisy. The soundproofing wasn't the best and we could hear the people upstairs moving around. One day in particular it sounded like children running back and forth upstairs for hours on end. We didn't mention this to staff as it was our last day so they may have been able to do something to help if we had. The location is a little out of the centre so most sites take about 30 mins to reach by metro but we knew this when booking and didn't mind as it was a nice quiet area.
We arrived in Madrid by train late at night so were grateful for the 24-hour reception. We were greeted and checked in by a friendly member of staff. He was warm and welcoming and the check-in process was smooth allowing us to get up to our room quickly to rest. We were incredibly impressed by the room, it was much bigger than expected, modern in decoration and well equipped with a kitchenette. The shower was wonderful, beds and pillows were comfy. The room was cleaned well everyday. Staff at reception lent us an umbrella when it was raining and were helpful with storing our luggage after checkout so we could keep exploring.

PortugalThe only less positive thing I can mention is the wifi. For some reason the hotel wifi worked in some parts of the room but not in the bed area. This didn't affect me much as I didn't specifically work from the hotel.
I believe the hotel gave me an upgrade on my stay, as I was really surprised with the size of the room when I walked in. I originally booked a double room, but got a huge room that had a lounge and kitchen area! The breakfast is good with sweet and savoury options, and the staff were all kind and helpful. I asked for the reception to call me a taxi for the next morning as I had a morning flight, and the driver was there waiting for me around 10 minutes early. Would highly recommend this hotel for business trips.

United KingdomIt was quite noisy as the rooms were all hard surfaces. You could hear people next door quite easily and also in the hall as there was nothing to muffle the sound.
Room was exceptionally clean and large. Really nice little kitchen for longer stays. Bathroom was lovely and clean, and felt quite "luxury".
