Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MexicoThe room was pretty simple but too warm, even when the heating was switched off. I expected to find a coffee maker in the room but it was not there.
Location is great, really close to the train station, very convenient. Breakfast was also remarkable with a buffet with a broad range of options for all tastes and nutrition habits. Different kinds of breads, good ham (jamon serrano, a local classic), pancakes, fruit, cereal, eggs, yoghurt... you name it! And finally, the possibility of leaving your luggage in storage for free once you check out, makes your life as a tourist really easy.

Thé breakfast was a great start to the day, but it a very dark sombre room. The staff were at all times friendly. The room was spacious enough although outdated. The location was near a metro line and the main Sants station but I would have preferred in town. Overall a good option on my own though

The location was perfect! I took a wonderful walk to Casa Batllò. It took only 5 minutes on foot from Sants Station. The room is very clean and bright. The breakfast is awesome! All the staff members I talked with were kind and nice.

United StatesReally had nothing to do with the hotel, but Bookings provided directions. The walking instructions were “TERRIBLE!!!” Google had us walk all the way around the Barcelona train station! After twenty minutes of walking, & crossing several streets, we gave up & caught a taxicab. The driver was nice enough to show us the direction to the hotel. Back across several lanes of traffic & down the road approximately 300m. He was so nice, we opted to take his taxi & pay the 10€ due to all the oneway streets to get from the taxi stand & the hotel.
Open 24 hour desk. Was essential as we arrived @ midnight.
