How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewThis property has a great splash pool and child swimming area. Great for six and three year old and in very good condition. This area alone made the location worthwhile. The animation team work hard to provide a range of activities. You can walk to the Dunes easily and local amenities. Staff are very helpful and seems to attract nice families and friendly vibes. Rooms are comfy and big.
The place is tired. It’s been built a while ago and then kept working rather than updated. Our room had the double bed, sofa bed and then bunk bed but the bunk bed was a fold out affair that had minimal safety features if your child rolled out of bed. We chose to move the mattress on the floor as my son felt unsafe. The splash pool is brilliant but doesn’t open until 10. Queues form from 9.30 and there is a definite run to beds when gate opens at 10. Lifeguards range from militant to relaxed. Floors around pool are very slippy, not an hour goes by without falls. Food in buffet is very eclectic, finding a cohesive meal was not without strange collections of food. We enjoyed the food but you might have a wierd combination. Our children preferred the poolside burger and hot dog bar. The Mascot was terrifying to some young children

Gluten free option food available to pre order (pancakes,chips,burger,pizza) + naturally gluten free options from buffet. I liked the fact, that you not allowed to reserve sun lounge with a towel early morning hours before you actually go to pool.
We liked everything. (Tiles at the edge of one pool need fixing.)

There should be a tour guide who will give us a full tour of the hotel as I don’t find out about the kids splash pool until last day and my just 2years old love to swim. It was so painful but overall we enjoyed our stay and the one guy at the reception was really helpful.

We only had our room cleaned twice (our choice) as we didn't need our beds and clean towels everyday. When we had this cleaned our towels weren't changed, only 1 bed was made and the cotton buds etc were not topped up. Bed would of been nice as a double as it kept coming apart and it was our honeymoon

I was in January. The big swimming pool was warm, but kids swimming pool was very cold. So the kids were a bit disappointed.

We had no trouble finding a bathing chair in the morning as reservations were not allowed The kids loved the hotel with the different pools and many activities. Elevators are small. We have two babies, and our twin stroller did not fit in the elevators. It caused us a lot of extra work. The buffets were good, with a great selection, but the meat was often tough. A few times some of the meat was so chewy it was inedible. Fortunately, it was always a variety of alternatives. The signage at the buffet was also often incorrect, which may have been due to the lack of English skills among the staff. Not a big problem, as long as you don't have food allergies. The reception staff could also give more information about the hotel facilities during check in. "The food and everything happens down stairs" was the information given. There was also no information in the room, so we had to discover everything ourselves. After three days we found out that is was a separate pool area for families with children. This is information we would like to have from the beginning.
