There were no reception services so my family (including my 5 month old baby) sat in the reception area for an hour not knowing how to access our rooms. We attempted to phone the hotel, the emergency number and booking.com with no response. We eventually asked a random passerby who had been through the whole experience himself and said there was a phone number to call to receive a code to access a lock box with the keys. There was no way for us to know this if we hadn't asked a random stranger! My partner and I had requested a ground floor apartment and a cot for our baby. We were given a sixth floor apartment with a play pen for her to sleep in. Despite me mentioning the baby in my email, our room only had a shower, no bath which made it very difficult to wash her. As we had other family staying in the hotel, we learned that some of the rooms do have baths. Our bathroom was constantly flooding which we thought was because the shower basin was so shallow but it turned out that our toilet was leaking at the back. The water often flooded out into the hallway and there were little pieces of toilet paper in it as further proof. One of the reasons we chose the Agaete Park was some of our family stayed there last year and said there was a baby pool. My cousin was also staying and has two small kids so we were really disappointed to find the baby pool was under construction. Not only that but the really loud construction work began at 8am every morning of the holiday. The apartments were so warm, with no air conditioning or fans, so we had to sleep with the balcony doors open, meaning we were woken early every morning by drilling. We attempted to make complaints to the hotel about the lack of baby pool and the disaster with the keys when we arrived but with nobody on reception, it was a difficult task. We spent much of our first two days on holiday attempting to phone the hotel's emergency number with no response.

The location was good as there was easy access to restaurants, bars and only a ten minute walk to the beach.

When we arrived we had to ring a Spanish number to get our keys. We waited around for half an hour before we got the keys. There was never anybody at reception. I booked 4 single beds and ended up getting 2 single, a made up in the kitchen and a couch. They moved me into a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 double beds. My 2nd apartment I booked 3 single beds and got a double and couch. They couldn't change me from that apartment. A cockroach got into our apartment so didn't like that.

There was no air conditioning but we had 3 fans. 2 in the bedrooms & 1 in the lounge. We had 2 balconies which was nice for letting in a breeze. Our shower worked but water wasn't hot for very long. We had to keep turning off and putting back on every few minutes. Apartments are very spacious and the pool was really good and never packed. Within walking distances of lovely restaurants, pubs & shops. Beach 10 min walk,

There was no staff in the reception at all. The wifi - I had to pay for yet it still did not work properly. Also, I was not keen on the area of Playa del Ingles at all.

The swimming pool is big, clean and watched over by a life guard. The apartment was comfy and large with a view onto the pool area and another block of apartments.

the balcony looked over a park nothing to see corner of the swimming pool, and some palms so feel like we lost the balcony as the hotel is huge, couldn't find a member of staff when you needed, couldn't get into the swimming pool as there were no signs or doors, all the gates to the pool were locked and it looked derelict ground floor outside all shops were closed and boarded up it did look gloomy, needs a face lift, felt it had seen better days!

The complex is full of cockroaches (something that has been confirmed to us by one of the people working there), mostly small, but still awful. Because part of the apartments (if not most of them) are owned by other people, even if the "hotel" staff sprays for bugs, other owners might not be so tidy so the infestation can easily spread. On the first night we had to fumigate ourselves because at 10 o'clock in the evening there is no one from the "hotel" to help you with that. After that we kept finding cockroaches daily, albeit in much smaller numbers, but we still had to keep all our suitcases zipped to avoid carrying any "souvenirs" back home.

The building is fairly close to the beach and to most of the shopping malls and restaurants. As for the room, the apartments are big and the beds are comfy (although they are twin beds they can easily be turned into a comfy double bed). The rooms are cleaned every 2 days.
