With our luggage, it was a lot of stairs to our room. They helped with luggage upon arrival, but wrestling them downstairs at 6 a.m. in the dark was not fun.

Everything. Great staff, good room, good location, terrific wine tour and tasting. Easy access, parking was easy (although not secure) and the restaurant next door had passably good food.

Staff was great. Room space exceeded expectation. Wine tasting and visit that is included in the reservation totally exceeded expectation. It is a great place to visit and to buy wine.

Breakfast was a little sparse (bread, fruit juice and coffee) but we knew this when booking so it wasn’t a real problem

We so enjoyed staying at this hotel. Excellent value and the wine tour is not to be missed. Having a community kitchen was such a bonus. The staff couldn’t have been better.

The booking was to include free WI-FI. WI-FI did not work any of the three days we were there. We inquired about it each day, and while the staff said it was working, it did not work. If you don't need WI-FI, this is a wonderful place to stay.

The "Social" room was very nice. The unit was very clean and ,by far has the best shower stall in all of Europe.

As they don't have a kitchen the breakfast was very basic, but still nice. Also, not being able to have dinner there, but there are other places at a walking distance.

The staff are amazing, they're all super nice and will help with everything you need. The visit to their winery is a must, it's super interesting and their wines are delicious.

What a gorgeous little town for a base to explore some Riojo vineyards. Hotel is in a good spot with a few nice local resultants close by. Unfortunately we were not able to do the included tour of the Valdelana winery which is at 11am daily. I booked hoping to experience this. However, Lana, one of the owners did a private tasting of 4 of their wines, which was lovely and did not come with an extra charge. Be aware that lots of winery’s were closed or needed to have tours previously booked to experience them (unlike Australian winery’s where you can just turn up and do a tasting without a tour). Room was a bit small but good air con for the hot weather! Friendly staff.

It was all lovely - quiet - didn’t seem to be lots of tourists like us so think June was a good month to visit

We had a lovely stay at Valdelana- the staff were very friendly and we were very comfortable. The wine tour was a real bonus and again the girl who led it had great English skills and was very friendly. We visited La Guardia, there was a festival on so it was exciting .

The stairs are vertiginous as it is an old building there is no alternative. More choices of restaurants in Elciego would have been preferable, as we did not want to take the car at night. Restaurante La Florida was good enough, and good service. Laguardia probably has more choice of dining options and is worth a visit too.

Staff were very welcoming and the tour led by Jennifer was informative and fun! A view of a roundabout would not be everyone's choice...however we loved seeing the vineyard tractors go about their business. Just felt that La Rioja is a very special area! A good walk up to the hermitage was well worth it too.
