The room was damply because of the rainy, cold days and the lack of good ventilation.

The staff- espesially Diana, speaks really good english - the sentimental Andalucian style of the house and the near to exating places.

If the room (114) had been 50% larger it would still be a small room. We're seniors and typically look for budget accommomodation in smaller Spanish towns and cities and enjoy this type of travel. Staff indicated most rooms are small although a few are larger. Check out the larger rooms.

    Front desk/bar-cafe staff were excellent!

Online directions to the hotel after booking were confusing, and led us on a roundabout trail dragging suitcases in 35C temperature.

Clean, basic, traditional Andalusian pensione. Room off interior courtyard was dim, but compact bathroom was brightly lit. Aircon was good, thankfully, with 35C temperature on arrival. Access from street was by a buzzer at the front door. Photos of attractive courtyard and mural on website predate current gaps in the wall plaster. Wifi connection achieved only on morning of departure. Generally felt in line with the apparently declining fortunes of Jerez town, which only really comes alive after 8 p.m. when crowded street-side restaurants and bars brighten up the place.

The room for 3 people was very small and the worst thing was that the door to the bathroom was transparent so you could see EVERYTHING and in my case was not desired at all. There was a white disgusting stain on the bathroom door handle that make me feel happy we are there only for one night. I do not know if the rest of the rooms are same, however I am sorry to say that after our good experiences in other parts of our trip in Andalucia, this hotel was the worst one.

Patios are nice (that was the reason I chose this hotel), the hotel has a place in front of the entrance to take out luggage and it is close to the cathedral and alcazar of Jerez.

I'm a frequent traveler so I get Genius offers with some of my bookings. Both "early check-in" and "free bycicles" were perks available to me for this hotel but the employees claimed not to know about them and even argued that 'they' don't offer these perks, Booking does (?). After 3 phone calls prior to arriving, I managed to get my early check-in and had our first surprise: the bed was awkwardly pushed against the wall and when we moved it we understood why... a large crack on the wall near the floor. Even though it was cheaper than others hotels available in that area on those dates, the room was smaller and older than I expected. On the very first night, I had to ask for a whole new set of sheets because there was dirt, stains and HAIR on the ones we had (the new set wasn't fully dry but at least it was clean). The person I talked to blamed the dirty sheets on the lack of hot water for laundry in the morning (no apologies by the way). They claim reception is 24hrs but on the second night we spent 15 minutes outside ringing the bell and calling reception until someone came to unlock the front door. This person came, unlocked the door (didn't open it) and walked away clearly annoyed and without saying a word. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

For me the only positive aspect of this hotel is the location. The location is very good, short walk from shops, old town, bars and restaurants, but the whole area is 'zona azul' which means no free parking nearby if you're driving. The style of the hotel is very traditional and appealing for tourists visiting Andaluzia, and has potential to be a beautiful place, but right now it's in desperate need of remodelling and also nicer staff. The girl who works at reception in the afternoon is the only one who was polite to us and who would smile and greet guests who walked by.

Towels were not originally provided, but were instantly given upon asking at the reception desk.

The hotel was a refreshing change from regular hotels, by consisting of a North African/ Arabic design throughout the building, corridors, bedrooms and bathrooms. However rooms were still modern enough to have A/C and TVs. There are two internal court yards adding to the Arabic experience. The train station is less than a 10 minute walk, as is town centre.

Parking was a bit of a hassle. Had to go around looking for parking for 15 minutes, but it was a Saturday night and the centre was packed.

The location is just great. It's a 3 Minute walk to the centre with pubs, tapas bars, etc. The main quarters are characteristic and really picturesque.

Rooms are small, basic and oldish. Okay in general for one night, but I wouldn't stay there longer. And you can't open window curtains since the window is facing the lobby.

The best part is the lobby area - looks like and old moorish / arab house. Looks exactly like in the pictures. Loved that! Very good location and quiet hotel.

One staff member was a bit brusque and impatient. Shower sprayed crazily if water turned too high and metal headboards, though pretty, could squeak loudly. Cigarette smoke wafted in from the courtyard. Minor things for an overall nice place.

The furniture and the room were old. Clean but old. I also thought it's a bit expensive. But generally the average in Jerez is expensive.

The girl at the reception was really friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The place itself is overall nice, it's an old Andalusian building, there's a nice area to have breakfast or drink something there. The room was overall clean and the AC was good. The location of the place was perfect. It's 5 min walk to the main shopping area and from there easily reach the most famous tourist attractions of Jerez. It's also a 10 minutes walk to the train/bus station. So pretty well connected.
