Reception shutting at 7 which seems quite early to me though it caused me no specific problems and the owner did offer to stay back if necessary.

Despite the room being very small, there is a big difference in the internet quality. If you are working from the bed closest to the door the internet is perfectly fine, but the internet from the other bed is awful.

I was traveling for work, so it could not have been much better. As there is nothing at the hostal apart from the bedroom and bathroom it was easy to just get on with work.

It was cheapest place and I didn't expect much. Very friendly staff and clean rooms with comfy beds. Good location! I would recommend it for solo travelers

Bathroom could’ve been cleaner and it is quite far from the central harbour of puerto banus (there is Uber).

Very good value for money, the staff were very nice. We got a room with a fan and it was cool the whole stay (in mid August).

WiFi didn't work in my room at all. Very very loud AC units right outside the window, earplugs helped but still this was annoying during the night. The deposit system they have is not convenient if you need to check-out earlier.

Bright and pleasant room, comfortable enough bed, hot shower. The price is good considering the area. Overall I liked the hostel and had a 10 day stay without major issues.

The property, price and staff were very nice however we were woken several times by the angry yelling from another guest, it happened several times and it sounded like he was drinking - it felt unsafe due to this we know it’s not the properties fault but we slept very badly. Also we have still not received our deposit money back - can you please send it asap.

Under new management. I’ve had family & friends stay here in the past, the Hostal used to have connections with cafeteria next door & breakfast was included. Cafe seems to have closed down. No breakfast. My room was on the 3rd floor, on arrival day (Friday) I informed reception the internet was not working, still no internet by checkout day (Sunday) Also I had to pay €50 deposit on arrival, option of cash or card. I paid cash, check out is 7am to 12pm but no one on reception to give me my deposit back, no one answered the phone. I had to return the following afternoon to get my money back. Ridiculous!

We left this room the way we found it, we didn't stay, checked in, but left later that evening, when we checked in we weren't given any information or told there was a code to get back in at night it was just by luck we met someone at the door or we wouldn't have got in, we had only gone back to collect our bag, the room was clean but we couldn't stay there, the bathroom had some serious issues, window was painted shut, no shower curtain, the bath was really old and chipped, we wouldn't use it. I understand it is a budget Hotel but we've stayed in lots of budget hotel and this was below any standard we've seen before, Sorry

Very basic and very poor value for money. After a day I moved to El Labrador round the corner —much nicer and cheaper. Booking.com customers have to pay a €50 security deposit at the Alicia. This was refunded when I left, but only after the room had been inspected to make sure I hadn’t stolen anything: which would have been difficult as the room contained not so much as a drinking glass, let alone a bedside lamp. Perhaps they thought I might have stuffed the air-conditioning unit into my backpack. Avoid.

The only thing I didn't like was the toilet seat which wasn't fitted properly. But that wasn't big issue.

I really like the hostel was very clean and staff was supportive. Location was also good, close to the coffee shops and nice, easy way to the beach.

Visiting Marbella for work or visit? My experience at Hostal Alicia was SUPER! It is located in San Pedro de Alcantara, very closed to Marbella center, walking distance to the beach, supermarket and many other places needed to enjoy your holiday or work. Highly recommendable!
