Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Convenient location next to the football stadium with excellent bus links to the centre and bus station . The staff who spoke good English for those who don’t speak Spanish, were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental and constantly being refilled. Bed very comfortable

RomaniaThe room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The furniture is older but it is well mantained and everything is very clean. The location is further from the center, but the prices are also lower. But if you don't mind it, a walk to the center is around 30-35 min. Or there is a bus station 5 min from the hotel with multiple buses that can take you everywhere.

AustraliaPossibly an update to the bed mattress would be a positive.
All was good here. Personally, I experienced a rather embarrassing bout of Gastro and all the staff from Elli and others which I don't know names of, went out of their way to ensure my comfort. Thank you very much for the assistance.

United KingdomJust the breakfast wasn't to our taste.
The hotel is across the road from the Reale Arena, home of Real Sociedad FC, and, coincidentally, I went to a football match there. We usually choose a hotel close to the railway station for ease of reaching the hotel, but, at around 30 minutes walk, my partner wanted to get a taxi, which, against my better judgment,we did. When leaving we got a bus as we knew which one to get on this occasion. Had breakfast first morning but it wasn''t great. However we did have our evening meal on arrival in the bar adjoing, and possibly part of, the hotel. Our room was fine and had a view across the road to the football stadium

United KingdomA long way out from the old town of San Sebastián. Found it expensive for what we got. Next to a football stadium I would imagine could be very noisy on game days.
Easy to get to and park. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent bus service into the old town. No 28. Ran every 5-10 mins.

United KingdomWe did not have any problems or issues
The hotel is basic but clean. It is on a bus route of bus 28,which gets you right into the centre in few minutes. We were advised by lovely receptionist where to get it and how to get ticket (just pay the driver😁. Eur 1.85 per journey and can pay by card). She had also recommended nice places to see. The breakfast was very basic but ok value given that you would have to go into town to get something else.

AustraliaThe location isn't great if you want to be close to the beach and surrounding tourist area, however taking into account this was one of the more 'affordable' places available when we booked. Value for money in this respect is lacking. The buffet breakfast for more than €8 per person is also overpriced compared to other places we experienced after a month of travelling Spain. Sometimes the shower water temperature changed rapidly between hot and cold but this was infrequent.
Spacious hotel room, clean and comfortable. Restaurant and bar at ground level for convenient meals, particularly when we arrived late (around 9pm) from another city. Friendly staff. The lounge was good for extra breakaway space.

CanadaGet rid of the carpets in all the hallways and rooms. They smell really bad ... like old cigarette smoke. There are no restaurants nearby. It would be great if the bar had more snacks and tapas in the afternoon. We left early, 4h30, and it would have been nice to have a coffee and croissant.
It was close to the tram line. Very easy to get around.

United KingdomReception staff refused to call us a taxi for some reason. As we dont speak spanish we wanted the staff to call for us, we offered to pay for the call, but they flat out refused. Not a massive issue, except we had to walk 20 minutes into the old town.

SpainThe air conditioning in my room wasn't working properly. Despite being told it would be fixed, the technician was unable to resolve the issue. When I requested a room change on the second day, I was informed that it wasn't possible since I was in a single room and they had only double rooms left. Although they offered a refund for the remainder of the stay, it wasn't enough considering it was one of the busiest weeks of the year. Of course there were no hotels in San Sebastián. As a result, I spent the rest of my vacation sweating it out in what felt like an oven.
