How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewPrivate apartment, lovely hot shower, large fridge and separate freezer and washing machine in apartment, extra towels and bed linen was a bonus. It was a home away from home. Communication between Denis and Santa was fantastic not that we needed to contact them during our stay as we had no problems. Pool was private and always got a sunbed and it has a water bottle filling service beside the pool which was handy 5 litres for less that a Euro. Would highly recommend this apartment and will certainly be back again. Thanks for a Wonderful 10 days.

This is my second time using this apartment and a very pleasing 10-minute walk from Veronica's strip heated pool in January well nice lots of different stuff with the apartment ie cots ,iron plenty of towels bedding

Verified reviewProperty was very clean, great setup for a family. We travelled as a family of 4, including a 7 year old and an 1.5 year old. Close to the pool which is absolutely amazing, well looked after and clean. Always sun beds available and feels very private, never overcrowded.

Verified reviewLovely apartment with everything you need for a home away from home. Within walking distance to everything and a supermarket at the end of the street. Quiet apartment and access to a pool. Access to a wee upstairs balcony and an outside terrace. Santa, who met us at the property was great and her communication was brilliant. We loved the welcome gift of wine and chocolate! We would definitely recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewStayed with my partner, baby, and two teenagers for just under 2 weeks. It exceeded our expectations and accommodated us all well! The location is great, 2 min walk to shops, pool on site, 5 min walk to beach/town. There is plenty of secure parking that's free to use. There is a water machine on site for 60 cents for 5 litres. This came in handy! The accommodation itself was super clean! We asked for extra bedding and towels, and this was provided. Comfy bed and sofa bed, a travel cot as well. The bathroom was spotless and had a lovely hot shower. Kitchen kitted out with everything you need to cook a lovely meal (however plenty of places to eat locally too!). Tv has netflix, etc, on there as well as a few English channels. Air conditioning kept my little one cool through the night. Great value for money, would recommend!

Verified reviewLovely welcoming host. Showed us everything we needed in the apartment. It was clean, well equipped and specious. Perfect location for Las Americas, close to everything ( beach, bars, shops) yet quiet. Pool area great too. Will definitely like to stay there again in the future.
Little misunderstanding about the cash deposit. We were not expecting to pay one that is booked via booking.com since the card details should act as a guarantee, but it is highlighted in terms ( we just missed to notice). Otherwise , everything else was perfect.
