How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room could benefit from a freshen up, however it was comfortable and substantial generally. Could benefit from provisions to wash up e.g cloth/scrub brush as these not supplied although set up as an apartment with cooking facilities
Location was great, clean room, felt a safe location as a lone traveller. Coffee machine and kettle. Free coffee and bottled water provided. Pleasant stay.

Nothing to dislike
Self catering studio flat. Small but adequate for two people maximum. Huge terrace with secure and exclusive use. Swimming pool on roof via two separate lifts. BBQ / pizza oven nearby but it appears not to be available to residents. Best feature is location in the heart of the old city.. Seconds away from fine food and drinkfrom the widest range of afes, bars and restaurants. Great for all ages. Brilliant nightlife if you need it but apartments quiet enough if you don't.

Free toiletries were mentioned on booking.com. I asked for them when we couldn't find them and owner said they would bring some down. They were never brought. The luggage lockers were extremely difficult to use and ate up the 2 euros put in twice. Ended up using different lockers elsewhere. Curtains were more privacy curtains and didn't block out the light.
Good location and size of room. Comfy bed. Great pruce and enjoyablebstay overall. Would stay again!

The property offers several room types and we booked one too small for our party (our fault) but i think the room types couldbe clearer on the booking site.

there was no dishcloth abd dish soap so I needed to buy it to clean the dishes.

Overall loved our stay here! The room was a little noisy at night but not enough to keep us from falling asleep. The pillows were a bit small but still pretty comfortable.
When we arrived we called the number listed at the door and were met right away. Our host gave us our keys, brought us to our room, gave a quick overview and made sure we had the wifi password and door code. The room was spacious, clean and and two small balconies (couldn't sit on them but provided great airflow). The bathroom was clean and shower worked well. The rooftop pool area was great, a bit too cold to be in the pool, but we enjoyed the rooftop area and lounge chairs. The bed was big enough for two friends to share and pretty comfortable.

Shower in ensuite was leaking and shower head would not hold. Could only shower in the main bathroom. Suggest to add more coffee pods as only 4 were left and it was difficult to find coffee pods to fit the machine. Lockers for luggage when checking out were limited, 9 in total and would only hold carry on luggage. 3 out of the 9 weren't working.
Location was perfect! Clean spacious apartment. Nice fluffy towels. Lovely rooftop space to enjoy the sunshine.

Location was excellent. The owner of the apartment was prompt and helpful. He solved a small misunderstanding with parking of our car very quickly. The position of the apartment in the city is really great. Centre, beach, ... If you have a car then parking in the center is a big advantage. I didn't like the equipment of the apartmentI. The older equipment of the apartment seemed outdated. But again location was great.

We arrived at night and had no idea how to get to the room from the entrance. We did not know if the 3B - B was basement or staircase. The courtyard had no lighting so we were walking in the dark not understanding how to find the room. Added note on the email would help with map of what to do when inside the door. Noise from the other tenants was terrible. They were party people and the sound carried so much, first night we woke up thinking they were inside our apartment. Perhaps some rugs or similar - noise might be carried by pipes so they could be lagged. Noisy guests left for our last night so it was better.

Needs new shower head holder as it didn’t hold in correct position for showering . A dish towel and a small amount of of washing up liquid would be useful and a plug for the bathroom sink to facilitate shaving. We booked parking thankfully we had hired a small car . The property need to explain when offering parking what it entails as not for the faint hearted. Very narrow streets very small lift to basement parking this needs to be highlighted. However the really lovely gentleman that met us couldn’t have been more helpful as he helped us fit in the lift .
Spacious clean very well located. Roof terrace a lovely addition on a sunny day.
