the WIFI was the worst and my son said , all the owner needs to do I run a wifi cable through the living room wall .

It was comfortable but they should get a 5 pin plug so you don't have to unplug the microwave to plug in toaster etc they should get a dishwasher

no plugs in bathroom sinks, no bedside lamps, no pillowcases on double bed, when leaving elevator was dark in corridor, microwave on wall brackets dangerously jutting out, no shelf in bathroom for toiletries,

The furniture is getting faded and would benefit from replacing.

We have stopped in this accomodation for a number of years. Whilst the fittings are getting a little faded the appartment remains an excellent place to stay in winter months. It is always warm and the views from the balcony of the sea and salt lake are great. In addition there is an excellent warm indoor pool.

Apartment 39a on 9th floor - WiFi with very little coverage - it could be used only in the kitchen close to the staircase with the router. It is a problem for someone planning to work there - to sit on the balcony or in the living room you need to provide your own network. The bed in one of the bedrooms was broken. The apartment was clean, but there was a lot of dirt under the beds or in the corners close to the furniture. Not a big deal for adults, but if your 1-3 year old babies squeeze everywhere then better clean that up yourself upfront :)

Nice place to stay in Calpe. Really helpful staff in 24/7 reception - provided access to the printer, immediately replaced broken coffee maker and booked a taxi. No complaints in general.

Apartaments are now a bit "rusty" and could do well with a bit of refresh, but this is not a big issue - as said before, Hipocampos is great value for money you pay.

This was another return for me to Hipocampos - this says I was happy in past and I was happy also this time. Location is perfect and can't be better - amazing view to the sea, possibility to use "sun" on the terrace in the afternoon. Close location of two supermarkets, and many restaurants. Also very good location for cyclists, with Vuelta Turistica just behind the corner. The apartament has plenty of space. Very good equipment, with basic coffee machine, owen, iron, microwave etc. AC working also as heater is there, in case you need to warm up a bit which is especially useful in the winter months. And of course small, but very nice spa / pool next to the building, where you can relax. Overall, with my 5th or 6th stay in Hipocampos, I always recognise it as great value for this price.

Advertised wifi was not available at all for the entire 7 days. Apartment was in poor condition with a door that had been chewed by a dog. Fridge freezer was in a poor state of repair and the entire apartment needs cleaning and repainting. Not great for 2000 euros for a week tbh.

The family has been visitors at Hipocampos about 8 times since 2007 and it has gone down fast and nothing has been done for the apartaments - same old furniture and now more insekts crawling on the floors, lak of bulbs and toilets loose from the floor etc..

uncomfortable hard pillows.no soap at all just to wash hands,no any cleaning supplies at all (no sponge to wash dishes,no cloth to wipe table).No any shelves in the on suit bathroom,and inside the shower.to is smart but it was impossible to connect to wifi. wifi very bad quality,very slow and disconnected a lot of times.no tea or coffee,no salt or sugar. even for short stay you need to get all this stuff.of course no shampoo.
