Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A great place for a holiday! From the very beginning, communication was excellent via Booking.com. Upon arrival, the owner had already sent a video via WhatsApp explaining how to get the keys. We traveled by car from the Netherlands, a family of four (my wife, two children, and I). If there's space, you can park on the property. The location is perfect, right between Benidorm and Alicante. We didn't look into public transport, but having a car seems like a must since the property is a bit isolated from shops. The beach is fantastic—it's always a little busy, but you can always find a spot. The new owner is in the process of updating the furniture; for example, the sofa bed was replaced during our stay. The water boiler has been updated and there is more crockery now (based on old reviews). Still, more renovations could certainly be done. It’s a typical Spanish atmosphere house; don't expect a 5-star room. All in all, we had a lovely holiday in a nice place.

GermanyWe did no get absolute any information as of how we should check-in until the moment we were already standing at the premisses' gate and had absolutely no idea what to do, as nobody from the accomodation cared to contact us. So we had to call the accomodating staff, who only then provided us with the boxcode and the number of our appartment. Moments later that information itself proved to be insufficient, as there were several entrances to the accomodation building, but only one that our appartment could be accessed through. So then we started searching our way to our appartment, which was actually granted not with the help of the keys, but with that of a kind and helpful lady from the other part of the accomodation building, which having seen our desperation and inability to find our way to our appartment, searched along with us and we all could finally find it. Now we had a bigger problem: once we had found our appartment, checked-in and longing to get to the beach, we couldn't get out on the street again anymore, because in order to do that, we needed another pair of keys, which weren't in the box outside and which (again) nobody told us about. We started searching desperately for anybody who could grant us a way out to the street, as in this moment nobody from the accomodating staff was answering the phone. Luckilly enough, a construction worker we reached in the building was kind enough to open the parking gate for us with his service key, so that we finally could head for the beach. Meanwhile I kept trying to reach anyone from the staff on the phone to clarify the situation. After a while I got called back and we were the told, the second pair of keys were hidden behind the TV in our appartment. We searched very thorroughly, but couldn't find any.
- Superb location, next to a small beach, with a private access to it; - Big, spacious rooms; - price-value ratio

United KingdomCleaner was very good upon arrival in solving the problem with WiFi connection, thank you. We never met the owner which we like to do. We thought the room was perhaps a bit too spacious although there was heating via the aircon which helped as the tiled floors are cold this time of year. It was a bit of a walk from the bedroom to the bathroom/toilet in the middle of the night, however we made it! You have to remember to take keys with you when leaving and entering the apartment as there are a few doors to open to let you back to your room. Also remember to lock the terrace door before you leave. The view from the terrace was OK and you could see and hear the sea just a couple of minutes walk away. This beach is not private although a key is again provided for guests to walk down a slope onto the small beach. There is another entrance to the beach just round the corner. There is a bus which runs about once an hour from the tramtrack about 10 minutes walk away. The bus takes you to El Capello and the tram goes along the route both ways from Alicante to Denia via Benidorm. Public transport is cheap so no need for a car! Cooking facilities ok in the apartment and the microwave has a dual function as an oven. Surrounding area is quite residential and there is a lovely cafe about 20 minutes walk away.

LatviaThere was a lack of privacy on the terrace due to people passing by, the stove was inefficient and slow in cooking meals, and the absence of night lamps made the lighting uncomfortably bright.
We liked to hear sea sounds, feeling of security due to locked premises, the peaceful atmosphere, (the restaurant next doors closed at 20), and the convenience of private parking. Plus, the beach was incredibly close.

SpainIt's not the most central or lively place and though you have both a small bus and light rail nearby connecting to El Campello, Alicante, and Benidorm, you'd be better off with a car.
My family stayed here in December and the appartement was clean, warm, and cosy and had everything they needed. For the price, it exceeded their expectations. The direct access to the small beach was very nice. When we arrived the self-check-in key had not been put in the key box, but despite it being Christmas the friendly owner came with it very quickly. All in all, they were very happy with the stay.

AlbaniaShould precise GPS location given in booking, as it points smth like 100m away.
If you like a quiet place far from a noisy city, that is an option. There are only accommodations nearby, no markets and shops, so you should rent a car to go there. Anyway you have to rent it to explore the beaches. Host very responsive. Gives accurate informations. Next to the beach, although I do not prefer this type of sandy beach.

SpainThey were carrying some works and the door to the car park was difficult to open. The place is in need of an important update. When we booked it, we told them we were taking a small dog and they didn't say anything. When we arrived, a man came to the appartment asking for money due to the dog. They should inform of prices in advance so you decide if you finally want to stay there or not.

SpainThose who expect perfect conditions might be a little disappointed, as you might find an occasional crack in the wall or a bit of limescale in the (very spacious) shower. They don't bother too much, and it gives the sea-side charm.
After several stays at Apartamentos Venta Lanuza, the verdict is in - it's the best value for money in the area. It's nothing fancy, but it's not supposed to be - but when you stay at "Cala Lanuza" apartments, you are guaranteed direct access to the beach, clean, spacious apartments, and the tranquility of falling asleep to the sound of the sea. Despite being located in a residential neighborhood - with some other hotels nearby - there are plenty of things to do: besides the Lanuza beach, there are some hiking opportunities at the end of av. de l'Alacantí. Even more, the apartments are only a few steps away from the "Venta Lanuza" tram station, which will take you to Benidorm, Alicante, or El Campello. The hosts were great, all problems were solved immediately, and they provided very clear check-in instructions. The additional bonus is the fact pets are welcome here (although not allowed on the Cala Lanuza beach, or to walk around the gardens loose. But no fear, several dog-friendly beaches are located within a short car ride: El Xarco, Punta Del Riu or Barranç d’Aigües). The kitchen was well-equipped, wifi never failed, and for those bored of sea views, there are plenty of international channels on TV. The apartments are a perfect camp for everyone - no matter what you are looking for in your next Meditteranean trip.

SpainI put among the conditions when I searched on the website that I wanted the air conditioner and it was not available and the weather was hot and they turned it off. When I asked them if the air conditioner was turned off, they did not answer me, but when I asked them where to leave the keys when I left, they answered me within minutes. I will not think of coming back again!
