How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

parking was announced, I tried to book it a month in advance, but it turned out that it was occupied. As I understand it, the parking lot is very small and constantly busy, so there’s probably no need to write that it’s there.
It is located in the center, the windows overlook the courtyard and therefore it is quite quiet.

The apartment is heated via some kind of ventilation system, which was definetly full of dust and mold because my girlfriend is really sensitive towards those and she had a really bad allergy during our stay there.
The apartament was clean, not that soundproof but neighbours were quiet, it s located not far from the city center and there are bus stops and metro stations nearby.

The reservation number they provided for purposes of checking in with their on-site ATM to get room assignment and keys didn't work. Calling into their helpline just confirmed the same reservation number but nothing they could do. Only option was to wait an hour when their "concierge" would begin his shift. He came; tried the same code and failed. Went into the back for a minute then came back and tried the same number. Worked this time and completed check in. After a grueling journey to Barcelona, it was frustrating having to deal with their check-in issues. I guess I was lucky I came during business hours.
Flat was spacious and clean.

They had only bed blankets, which there was not enough in the flat and I felt a little cold some nights.You would run out of water if you had two showers. The oven fan was making alot of noise, I had to turn it off before I completely damage the oven, as the noise got worst. There was no toaster. No welcome pack to explain access to wi-fi and the area.
There was large bed, the mattress was good and comfortable. the kitchen has good fridge, enough pots, pans ect. Good space for the leaving room

incredle strange check in system. In description was "reception", but they are not here, if you have questions, you have to call them. Only support from home office as I can see.
Good apartman, good location, easy acces to 2 metro stations.

Some dishes were dirty in the cupboards. Details mentioned a dishwasher - there wasn't one. Bathroom had mouldy sealant. We didn't see a concierge throughout our stay. We were glad we didn't have any issues that we needed to!
Comfy bed. Quite quiet being on the top floor. Good for our needs.

Bad wifi, check-in should be simplified, because it is done by phone at the entrance to the building, you wait for the person from the reception to help you check in

The downside was that we had a hard time getting the keys because we arrived outside reception opening hours.
The location was good. Accessible by public transport. Some distance from the city center. The environment is safe, pleasant and quiet.

The check-in process is quite tricky, the reception closes between 14h and 16h, and initially, I was told via intercom to wait for one hour for someone (it was very hot that day, and I was with heavy luggage), when I refused the lady advised me to do the self check in with a credit card. I only found out about this information on my arrival, so it was pretty stressful.
The apartment was excellent and very spacious, with a kitchen and balcony. The air was working well, and there was a spacious shower.

Receptionist was not on this place according to promised hours. On booking.com is written that reception is opened until 18. No breaks. But there is a break klo 14-16. So we were under sun on loud street about an hour trying to get inside.
Near metro. Apartment was clean and quit. Kitchen and kitchen stuff is ok.

The kitchen equipent was very poor, and keeping contact with the company wasn’t easy. No personal contact, and the answer for the emails is slow.
