Noise from street outside goes late into night if you stay in apartment on outer part of hotel.

I have been here 5 times, and the location is spot on for a nice 10 min slow walk to the beach and near to everything. Staff friendly and helpful. Pools are great. It's not the ritz but a good standard place for the budget traveller. Rooms are good size and clean.

Check-in could be quicker, there is usually only one receptionist on duty at any given time and if you get a lot of people arriving to check in it can take a long time. Main meals were an excellent selection but breakfast can be improved upon as the self service food could be cold so I just had toast most mornings. The bacon is not really worth being put out because nobody likes it (the people that I did ask).

Staff were friendly and approachable. The room was cleaned and towels provided every day. Food and drinks of all kinds readily available at all times so no chance of hunger or thirst at this hotel.

E.g. lettuce/salad should be cut in smaller pieces, and most evenings the soup was very thick,- and barely luke warm. Besides a smile from the restaurant staff is always most appreciated! ( Ps. Hoping some of them get the "hint" as well...) Otherwise,- if a show (or bingo) is scheduled to 21.30 it should start no later than 2135..!! And by the way, there was indeed some rather strange shows (which did not seem to appeal to anyone). Just wondering what's "wrong" with an ordinary bingo line by line .?!!

Have stayed at Columbus more than 10 times over the last 30 years and ALWAYS enjoyed my stay,- no doubt about that! Didn't get one of my "favourite" rooms this time (as per request), but understand that they might not have been available upon my arrival. Anyway, I was still happy to get a room in the aft building with a great view from the balcony towards south/west. The hotel is in a very central location and just a short stroll to the beach, many shops and bars (with rock bands).

The bar did not have much atmosphere. There was only 1 bar which served the pool area and the same at night. It would be better to have a separate evening bar.

It could have done with some plants, pictures, something to brighten the place up and make it look less like an airport lobby. The hotel lobby, seating area around reception was basic beyond basic.

There was no cutting board in the kitchen (we had to buy it in the shop) and little frying pan - we needed bigger. Time of cleaning was uncomfortable. Every day we went to the beach in the morning and returned back to our room in the afternoon. We cooked lunch and eat in the room, and exactly at the same time came cleaning lady to clean our room. Sometimes we tried to eat at the balcony not disturb her. But most time it was too hot, so we eat in the room. At this case cleaning lady didn´t clean our room, just collected rubish and changed towels. We asked at reception to clean our room in the morning while we are at the beach, but were told that cleaning time is 13.00-15.00.

Good location with supermarket and bus stop nearby. Spacy room with comfortable room, big balcony, nice view, air condition. Friendly and professional staff - specially Alma at reception.

Many of the facilities closed. Some said it was noisy on the reviews, it wasn't for us. I guess it's the luck of the draw on who you get around you in other rooms! Also, you had to pay for a safe which is really non-standard in this day and age.

Check in was easy, staff really friendly, hotel was clean. Not many of the facilities were open but that's because it was February. Plenty of loungers around the pool. Only had room only so didn't try the food. Plenty of options to eat or drink out. A little far from the beach, about a 15 min walk, but literally down one road to get there. Unlike some comments about it being rowdy it wasn't for us. Some rooms are overlooking the busy road and they do have bars and a nightclub on site which was closed when we were there so no noise issues for us.
