Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThis was a really enjoyable place to stay. If I had to pick up on anything it would be the self-service coffee available at breakfast, which was luke warm. But as already reported you could order a freshly made hot drink - so this was hardly a problem.
We had a great room on the 8th floor, overlooking the small dipping pool and roof garden. The windows had electrically operated blackout shutters, which worked well at keeping the room cool when we were out and the light out for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent with self-service cereals, fruit, breads, cheeses, cold meat, cakes and jams etc. A cooked to order service was also available for things like eggs, bacon etc. Self-service hot drinks were available; But we found it much better to just order what we wanted - eg a freshly made cappuccino. In fact, most things that I asked for (eg a banana) were available and delivered to the table.

NetherlandsUnfortunately the room, even if it was very nice, big and clean, had the only window facing the back and in less that 2meters away I had the wall from another building (I think) so basically no light and no fresh air coming in. I went in January and the room was too warm (I also used the airco but it was not enough)
The hotel is very nice, the staff is kind and always available for every need. The check-out at noon is a plus for me!

SpainSince we arrived in room 515 the TV did not work, You can not see anything. The screen was pixeled and like if it was damaged by a electric static or storm. One person came to our room the second night but he didn't fix anything. On the last day we requested again to fix the TV. They said they would take care of it but they didn't.
I liked the location. The staff was kind but they did not fulfilled my only request about the TV in the room.
