The walls are really thin, you can hear your neighbors very well.

The location of the hotel is really fortunate. Just a few minutes away from the square of Catalunya, but still very quiet. The room was small, but had everything that one needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The drink water can be refilled any time. There is always someone on the reception, which makes you feel safe. We had breakfast only once, but didn't like it.

The noise at night from the glass recycle bins and skate boards. Overcame this easily with earplugs and ear phones. Part and parcel of a city stay in an old building with no secondary glazing. Wouldn’t put me off staying again.

The only real fault I could find with our stay was there was a lot of noise from outside coming through the windows. However, given that you are situated on las rambles it is expected.

The only issue we had was that although the room was good in general, it was very noisy as we soon realized the walls were not soundproofed and you could hear everything going on in the rooms around us. We found this to be disruptive and annoying at times especially when trying to sleep. However, we focused on the many positive aspects of our stay. Regardless, we are very happy we stayed at the Meson Castilla.

The location of Meson Castilla was excellent as it is located in the Barri Gotic Quarter area and a few minutes walk from Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya; we loved it!!! We opted not to have breakfast at the hotel because we had many eateries near the hotel and we preferred discovering a new place to eat. The room itself was comfortable and clean with a big window facing the front of the building which provided natural light. We also loved the staff; they were very helpful, attentive, and friendly.

Room - Kind of crowded. Location - Central perfect close to lots of turistic attractions.

Room slightly smaller than expected, but suppose to be expected in an older property. On both days we did not return to the room until 4 or 5 pm, before going out for the evening. On neither occasion had housekeeping entered to tidy. Did arrive after we had returned but we then declined service. Not aware of hotel's policy but there was a sign in the bathroom re. placing of towels to avoid relaundering, so I guess a visit was anticipated. Not really a problem but a surprise.

Location very convenient. Breakfast good with reasonable selection of items. All reception stall very helpful.

Too many messages in the run up to our stay relating to hotel payment transaction and taxi transfers. There seemed to be a disconnect between Booking.com and the hotel.

Great location in the heart of the city. The building oozed history, with amazing interior decor. Breakfast buffet catered for all tastes, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
