Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice to have in the room.
Amazing location, right in the heart of the Ramblas area. Lovely hotel, room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful.

It feels very strange to be in a room without windows … that is not very pleasant.
Very clean, nice and quiet room and the hotel is in the middle of the gothic area. Amazingly comfortable beds!

My bedroom was very small and the window looked out over the corridor which was a bit noisy....I also felt a bit claustrophobic in the small room. I do, however, understand that there are bigger rooms, etc.
The location was excellent and since I didn't spend much time in the room, that was acceptable. The breakfast was well worth it, good coffee, freshly baked bread and a variety of options for all tastes.

It was quite stuffy the room as the window faces into the inside of the building. Otherwise nothing else.
Location, location, location. You just cannot beat the location of this hotel. Right in the middle of the gothic quarter, close to everything. Air conditioning was a blessing and the shower was super nice and comfortable. Bed was also not too soft and not too hard for a good nights rest. Lots of space.

The room was outdated and had a musty smell. The location in the Gothic Quarter was not really that good. It was a little seedy.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was good size and clean. The breakfast was very good with many choices. The breakfast staff was very efficient.

Great location, just a step away from the city's most popular places. The room was amazing, and the cleaning services were exemplary. I really enjoyed soaking in the city's vibes from the room's window. Overall, it is highly recommended.

To make the bathroom more spacious they cut the size of the room. I would prefer a more spacious room, but for two, three nights it is not a deal breaker as the price is reasonable.
A gem of a hotel right in the heart of the gothic district. Good value for money. Spotless! Good size bathroom. Bed was ok, have slept on better, and you wouldn't want to be getting up to too much antics as it would make a racket lol I didn't have breakfast included so can't rate it. There is a cafe in the lobby that does very reasonably priced coffees and pastries. Hotel even has a (very) small rooftop pool. Staff were very nice.

Only that you couldn’t control the temperature in your room, so we felt a bit too warm sometimes at night. For us it wasn’t too much of an issue, but people feel comfortable at different temperatures.
Location, good rooms, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. Nice and quiet considering how close we were to Las Ramblas.

Our room was facing the street and our days there were during the weekend so we suffered from lack of sleep due to all the noise of those enjoying the night life. Rooms were nice but if staying here and sleep is important to you request a room further away from the street. Staff were so nice and understanding they moved us to a different room for our last two nights.
The location was absolutely perfect for visiting the sites of the city. Just a short walk to the metro allowed visits to sites a little further away. Breakfast was good but not super.

Location is ideal for visiting the main sights of Barcelona. 3-5 min walk to the Ramblers. Hotel seemed very quiet and the staff very friendly

Excellent location in middle gothic quarter, with super clean rooms, monsoon shower, massive comfy beds, totally quiet n tranquil so lovely for siesta n good night sleep. Awesome breakfast in room with brilliant art of the Barcelona skyline. Small Supermarket opposite ideal for snacks! Rooftop view. Overall a joyous n refreshing experience.

I thought the breakfast was expensive - much cheaper to leave the hotel and go to a restaurant.
The hotel exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic - so central, easy to get everywhere and right next door to the restaurants etc. The room was large and comfortable with a fab bathroom. We arrived on an early morning flight and the hotel staff were able to get us into our room earlier than check in time, which was very much appreciated.
