Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Early morning noise from surrounding streets , take earplugs
Great location for a short visit to Barcelona , access to an abundance of cafes and restaurants , all attractions in walkable distance , room was spacious , comfortable and clean , breakfast was good start to the day , thank you for your hospitality

The amenities are basic - hand soap, shower gel and shampoo provided, would be nice to have a little packet of extras ie. little comb and cotton buds but that’s ok. There are no tissues in the room either and only one bin in the bathroom. We noticed inconsistencies in room refreshing - one bed left unmade when the other one was and rubbish still remained. Room is very basic but sufficient as we were out all day anyway :)
The location of the property cannot be faulted, it is just a street away from the hustle and bustle of La Rambla. When you walk out of the hotel there is an abundance of restaurants in either direction you turn - this was our favourite part of our stay. Very easy to get taxis on the main roads as well if needed. Breakfast has a great variety we had no complaints :) 30-45min walk to main attractions

The breakfast hours started late in the morning. The pillows were very uncomfortable and there is minimal space for clothing in the room.
The location is fantastic and the staff is very helpful.

Only thing that was odd was the shower- entire floor got wet when you showered. Once you know that and plan accordingly, it was fine. Shower worked! don’t put the bath mat down until you are done!
Location is terrific. Room was comfortable with a window that opened onto a cool street. Super quiet with window closed. AC was a must and it worked 😁 Restaurant directly across the street was very good and less expensive than many others!

Our rooms AC was making a very consistent annoying noise but besides that it was a comfortable stay.
Very modern and well looked after hotel. The room was a nice size with a good size bathroom and a comfortable bed. The location is PERFECT and the breakfast was good as well.

No English TV or smart TV in English. No English speaking news service, no internet services on TV. Aircon was controlled by the reception office not by room controller. It was far too cold and had to go to reception often to have the temperature increased from 19 to 24 deg C. The air outlet was far too cold.. sub 19 degC. Would not switch to local room control.
Good.location. good breakfast. Good bed and shower.

I don’t like lifts and when I arrived I found that the door to the stairs was locked and had to ask for it to be unlocked . The door was Locked afterwards too so I’m not sure what the procedure would be in a fire ? Surely lifts are out of order in a fire and the stairs are the evacuation route ??
The breakfast was a good selection. The location was perfect as just off Las Ramblas … plenty of restaurants within steps of the hotel.

Bedroom quite basic , no fridge or kettle But we only stayed one night prior to a cruise . Breakfast was ample and good choice ,but breakfast room very noisy from scraping chairs on floor!

We left our luggage until it was time to check in. There was a nice locked room. When we returned to check in the room was open and unlocked, anyone could have taken something that did not belong to them.
That it was close to several stores and restaurants.
