Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great location, just a few minutes to the sea. Great food, a large selection of dishes. Room OK although we received a different (larger) than we chose in the offer (side view of the sea instead of central). Unusually large bed to fit 4 people! Hotel on the main road, well connected. Wonderful garden where you can relax. Staff very nice and communicative. We arrived after dinner service hours but it was waiting for us left. We will be very happy to return here!

Only minor constructive criticism was during the day only the pool snack bar was open. It would have been nice to have another option for drinks in the main building. As a consequence this created long queues for refreshment. I think they would make more money as people often gave up queuing or avoided even trying. Other feedback for management. Reference buying drinks at dinner - was asked for room number so assumed that the bill for drinks was put on the room bill. Then got a note to say I had to see the restaurant manager to pay it. They need to explain more clearly to guests when giving you the drinks bill that this needs paid at the end of the meal.
The hotel was well run. The food in the restaurant was very good. Loads of choice at breakfast and dinner. Don't understand why some previous reviewers complained. The premium room was very comfortable. Entertainment in the evening was good. From what I saw there was a good effort from staff to keep kids entertained. Plenty of beds at the pool. It was a pleasant environment to relax in and management obviously make a big effort to provide a good experience for guests. The location was good. Not seafront but relatively easy access just one street back. Walking distance to Marina and both Benalmadena and Torremolinos promenades. Bus right outside for Furengilona. Mijas, a short taxi ride away is definitely worth a visit. Malaga closeby. I would stay again.

I upgraded to a premier room, there was no Wi-Fi or air conditioning, or tea coffee facilities. I’ve stayed in hotel before in standard room with Wi-Fi and air con .. the room was standard size and far away from reception. IMO the upgrade wasn’t worth it .
Staff were amazing , location great, food good. Pool area and communal areas lovely .

The Lounge bar not being g open until 6pm either for coffee etc and the pool bar area was just so full of children so nowhere quieter in Iin doors where you could get a drink or snack in peace and quiet

To have a car parked in the hotel property is quite expensive.
It has a great view of the sea. Everything you might need like stores and car rental is close by.

Perfect location as just a short stroll to beach, comfy bed so great sleep and entertainment was great to see flamenco dancing. Buffet was great lots of choice and great tasting

The „premium” room was not of exceptional standard but of a much better one than the 1st one which was simply old, sadly stuffy air. In general the cleanliness could be better.
Really nice breakfasts and the service was excellent, especially when the booking was not accurate and we got a „premium” room. Very pretty green surroundings!
