Just perfect place, spacious room, high level of cleaning, well refurbished. We didnt it in the hotel´s restaurant, but smelled delicious when we were passing by. Perfect location for going for hiking in nearby areas. Quiet and peaceful. Close to other villages for going to eat/supermarkets.

Seems petty to complain about an old family run hotel not being a bit more modern but it could do with a bit of a facelift. It feels a bit tired and musty in places and has a strong smell of mustiness/dampness when you go in on the ground floor from the car park (no such smell in the rooms). No facilities in the room to make coffee/tea.

We were in the hotel for a couple of days escape and chose it for being high in the mountains so we could enjoy some nice walks and I could ride my bike on the Somport, The hotel was very quiet as this is low season for a ski resort hotel but that suited us perfectly. The hotel rooms are fine although showing their age a bit with quite old-fashioned bath with vinyl shower curtain and the wood around the Windows peeling off. Beds were absolutely fine and comfortable and our 3-year-old son loved his bunk bed. The breakfast buffet is excellent and reasonably priced. The dining room was closed though due to the season so no lunch or evening meals available. As we know Jaca well, it was a pleasant drive down the Somport to Jaca for dinner. If you want somewhere with more life and options for things to do and places to eat, then Jaca would be the better choice for most people. If you want peace and tranquility then Hotel Candanchu is great too. The staff are very friendly and helpful and had lots of suggestions for us on how to make the most of our short break.

Some smells like coming from rotten woods at the rest room.

Looks like a museum and mountain cabin. Nice view and friendly host. Dinner at the hotel with a reasonable price.
