Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, and the staff were efficient and friendly. The location was superb - easy walking to the old town as well as for trams/buses to the beach.

The location is perfect in that it is central to the historic area and one can walk everywhere on foot. It is also in a surprisingly quiet area. The staff were super friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

SwitzerlandThe bedroom was poorly lighted and thus dark and dim in the night and early morning. Could be considered romantic I suppose though.
The staff were very friendly and helpful with all our needs and requests for information or assistance. We liked the bar in the hotel for both coffee and drinks. Room service was fantastic. The hotel was well-located in the old city near the cathedral but also convenient to public transport (buses). We enjoyed the large circular bathtub in the room - romantic.
