Beautifully done up and very comfortable. It has a lovely courtyard with a plunge pool. The lady who was running it was very welcoming and nice.

United States4 Reviews3 helpful votes“You will come away with a very positive impression of the hotel and the city of Alcazar de San”The hotel is in the very center of the Old City, so everything most visitors would want to visit is within a short walking distance. The hotel is located on a side street and therefore it is quiet at night. But as a result of being in the heart of an ancient city, trust your GPS to get you there as the driving streets are complicated. Gema served a great breakfast and gave me excellent suggestions for both a traditional La Mancha Menu del Dia and during the evening, where to go for Tapas, a mere 5 minutes away.

Rather expensive for 156 euros/ night. We stayed at the 4* Instel Hotel, the night before and that was only 90 euros/ night. The bedroom was rather small, but the beds were very comfortable Staff were wonderful. They couldn’t do more to make our stay as pleasant as possible

Thankfully, I had a phone number to contact the owner and around 10 Minutes later someone arrived to let me in- maybe this could have been clearer and I was notified further in advance.
Style of the property extremely nice ! Lady staff member very friendly and ironed my clothes - I think I was the only guest ! Good mini bar selection

There was much less public space than we had anticipated from a 4 star establishment; as the only guests at the time, we were able to use the only two armchairs in the lobby/ internal patio . Had the hotel been busier that would probably not have been an option. Much of the social space is outdoors, patio and pool: La Mancha is cold in January, so not a viable option for us. And we did have to push, to be able to leave luggage for some time on the day of departure. Surely that’s a standard feature in a 4 star hotel?
An interesting old building situated in a quiet side street a short walk from the city centre. It is well decorated and maintained. Shower good, towels plentiful. Bed comfortable. We had breakfast which we thought was good value and varied in content.
