Carlos is the best and most courteous host I have ever met. The location of the accommodation is within walking distance of all of Barcelona's sights. Tastefully decorated and clean. If I could, I would give more than 10 stars.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Carlos's Casa del Mediterraneo in Barcelona, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. Location-wise, the property couldn't have been better situated. It offered easy access to all the city's major attractions. I highly recommend staying at Carlos' apartment! The location (lots of restaurants, cafes, shops nearby - very close to the biggest attractions in Barcelona - we only used the bus once - we mainly walked), the decor of the facility, and the cleanliness at a very high level. Of course, it is also worth mentioning the host who gave us many valuable tips and was very friendly. I recommend this accommodation to anyone going to Barcelona. I hope that Casa del Mediterraneo will soon be as famous as my colleague - insta -girl maalajka ;)

There is no such thing…

I do not know where to start. Location: just perfect. This neighbourhood is simply the coolest with the best cafes and restaurants and this place is like out of a fairy tale. Cleanliness : I have never ever ever experienced such a clean and neat stay in my life. It was out of this world clean! It was cleaned every single day just so well. Believe me or not, not a single speck of dust can be found in the rooms or anywhere else in the hotel. And then dearest Carlos OMG.. He is THE BEST! His attitude friendliness helpfulness everything was spectacular… He greeted us with warm smile and simply explained us everything so well that made us feel safe and he offered his help anytime it was needed. Rooms: as mentioned, super clean super authentic aesthetic, colored glass tall windows, very well decorated high ceiling rooms with the best mattresses that will make you sleep like a baby! Security: very very good! The apartment itself is very safe but also the main and your room locks are more than good to make you feel secured enough. I am not exaggerating a single thing here believe it or not..This was so far the best experience I ever had in my whole life when it comes to these old building hotels🧡 So one more time I would like to thank Carlos and the whole team working behind there for the excellent service they are providing and for this lovely experience ✨

It is a shared space and you could hear when others entered and exited, but otherwise it was great.

Beautiful historic location with comfortable rooms and a private bathroom. Carlos was wonderful and helped us orient ourselves in the city. We really appreciated all of the recommendations for food and sightseeing places and ways to get around. The rooms were cleaned everyday.

Carlos lived up to the hype. He was so lovely and took the time to sit down with us and tell us a bit about Barcelona and tips about places to see/eat. The accommodation itself if beautiful and very clean. Well appointed- very close to some of the Gaudi houses and very easily accessible from the airport/public transport. Great stay!

Not really any.

First of all, the rooms had been one of our favorites throughout our entire trip. It was beautifully-furnished and it clearly had been put in loads of efforts to build a style/personality in it. Absolutely comfy and gorgeous! Our host, Carlos, was extremely sweet and fun! He had made us immediately fall in love with the city upon hearing him talking about the city. He made great suggestions for us about where to go/eat/see, and interestingly, the 6.2euro breakfast he recommended was one of my favorites.

The location is excellent. The owner, Carlos, was amazing. Very much appreciated from our side. Very friendly, with quick suggestions and recommendations. He was ready within minutes to reply to our questions even when we were already in the city. When we come back to Barcelona (and we will), we will try to stay here again.

The towels and bedding felt rather thin and old. The towels were quite scratchy as well.

Carlos was very helpful and friendly. He actually sat us down and went over our itinerary and shared his insights and tips. His ice cream recommendation was exceptional. The space was cleaned daily and well-decorated, location was great, peaceful and comfortable.

Carlos was unbelievably welcoming and helpful and all his recommendations were spot on! The room was lovely and so comfortable, everything was super clean and the bathroom we had to ourselves was huge and we had everything we needed (towels, hairdryer, toiletries, etc.). The decor of the place is beautiful and its location is perfect for getting in and out of Barcelona centre and close to major attractions like Casa Batlló, Casa Milá and TONS of excellent bars, cafés and restaurants. The area is a proper foodie hub! Thank you Carlos, for making our visit exceptional.

Carlos was an amazing host! He prepared a list of different recommended places for us to go to eat and a guide of the public transportation services to the landmarks of the city. The room was spacious and super comfortable and the entire house is cozy and welcoming. We rally enjoyed our stay and for sure will be back!

We had breakfast across the street as per the recommendation given. Breakfast was excellent. the rooms and the building were lovely. We loved the location, which was centrally located and close to public transportation.

A little noisy at times from the night life but that is mostly because I go to bed early.

Carlos was extremely helpful and even did my laundry. The room was spacious and in a very good area of Barcelona. The building was 124 years old and very beautiful. I would stay again for sure. Thank you Carlos for making my stay so enjoyable.

Not a complaint but due to heritage of building shower is quite compact/high. If you have mobility issues properly not the best. Washing Machine is listed on booking.com but is only for stuff. But there is a laundry mat right around the corner.

Location and host Marco were fabulous. Marco talked us through all the must see sites and have us a list of food/restaurant recommendations they did not disappoint! Beds were comfy and building was very beautiful.
