Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWe got there 3 hours before check-in, idea was to drop bags and have a mooch around, but the told us the room was ready and checked us in. Really good value at €73 for the night and very central to shopping and touristy stuff. Would reccomend for a short stay.

United StatesWi-Fi was a joke, always disconnecting and weak. The shower cabin door was not aligned properly so there was always water on the floor after taking shower.
Location I great, the staff is friendly and cooperative, the room was clean and well equipped.

United KingdomI’m a genius level 3 customer and I booked months in advance because I was attending a wedding. Some other guests of the wedding booked just 10 days before, after my recommendation for the place and they booked from booking.com without any discount or offer and paid the same as me. Unfortunately my room was way smaller and the only window was facing a wall which was only 60cm away from it. I could literally touch it and the room was very dark. The other friends who booked later and at the same price, despite not being genius customers, got a bigger room and the view to the main square.
Location is the main good thing about this property. Also the restaurant is really good.

United KingdomThe reception isn’t manned, but that wasn’t a problem, there’s a phone number to ring on the door and someone from the sister hotel came over quickly. You also eat breakfast in the sister hotel across the square but it was delicious, buffet style, excellent value for the money.
Casa Palacio Pilar del Toro is located on Plaza Santa Ana next to the Plaza Nueva. It’s in a fantastic location, with the Cathedral nearby. Approx 20 min walk to the Alhambra, Sacromonte area and the Alcaibin area. Lovely clean room, very comfortable bed and it was very quiet there, slept with the window open. Ideal for a trip to Granada.

United StatesThere is no staff at this hotel. You enter a restaurant and take the elevator up to get to rooms. No service really, and you have to take your bags up some stairs. The staff and reception desk is all located across the street at the much nicer sister hotel (Hotel Plaza Nueva). The rooms are dark and stuffy, room had no windows and not much space. The place was really erie.
The location was great! Price was good and rooms were clean. Center of Plaza Nueva and right by Albicion, restaurants, shopping, etc. Good if you don’t care about nice room and just need a clean, good value place to stay that’s centrally located.

IrelandI would not recommend it for light sleepers as there is a lot of noise around at all times, both from outside and inside the place
Very well located within walking distance of the main areas. Very clean room with good furniture and a great toilet and shower. Very friendly staff and easy to reach out to if needed.

United KingdomBreakfast only available at sister hotel across the Square. Although the hotel had a beautiful dining central courtyard area with bar and a separate smaller bar, no hotel bar/dining facilities are available at all on Monday and Tuesday, the days we stayed. No tea/coffee making options in room or elsewhere. The fridge kept everything warm. No on site reception for local information, although there is a tourist information office a few steps from the hotel.
Beautiful, historic Casa Palacio set on a lovely, bustling square. Perfect location for all this remarkable city has to offer, especially if visiting The Alhambra. Although there are lots of dining and tapas bar options nearby, we would have loved to have been able to dine in the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and our traditionally styled top floor room had floor to ceiling windows with far reaching views of the Albaicin district.

United KingdomDefinitely more of a restaurant than a hotel. Upon arrival we had to wait for staff to be freed up from a very busy wedding reception in the restaurant to check us in, then we had to walk through the same wedding reception in the restaurant with our cases to get to our room. Not complaining though, as I said... we love quirky!
Very central, everything within easy reach. Loved the quirkiness of the place.

United KingdomThe shower cubicle leaked, leaving a pool of water on the bathroom floor. It was a bit noisy - both from the internal plumbing (ours and others) and outside in the Plaza but it was very quiet later in the night and we slept well.
Location of hotel, character of the building - both inside and out, simply furnished but very clean bedroom, well-equipped and very clean bathroom
