Carlos and Tanya are fanetastic. Carlos whipped us up a nice dinner and served it to us at the time requested. Delicious. Beautiful property. A good place to stay for a tired pelegrina. Room for families.

Lovely place in a small village outside Santiago with very nice staff. Beautiful garden with a nice pool and many flowers (including an enormous magnolia tree!). We (a family of four with young children) stayed in one of the flats which had a nice layout and style, a functional kitchen and a small private part of the garden. Very good value for money; a home away from home. We definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay there again.

We were on the Camino de Portuguese route and spent one night there. It was great place and Carlos was so nice and picked up us, because the place is not right at the Camino. He prepared us really great dinner! We would definitely come back. Thanks! :)

Long hill to climb up to get there but lots of people jump in a cab off the camino trail

What a welcome discovery to find the sparkling pool in the garden after walking the El Camino for five hours in 40 degree weather. We were handed a delicious sangria upon arrival ( we ordered this ) and the young couple who run the place made us a late lunch and also an amazing dinner. Wishes we had spent two nights here. Amazing spot and fantastic hosts. It's a 10 for sure !

    Nothing.

A beautiful guest house in very individual style, run by a very friendly couple. Wonderful gardens with some extraordinary, old, rural buildings. Very peaceful in an old village but within easy drive of Santiago.

The room was decorated with extreme good taste, in a rustic chic style. It had a balcony with an amazing view and the whole property was stunning, with lots of details to explore. It is located very near to Santiago de Compostela and it is easily accessible. Very quiet and a perfect place to relax. The staff was great, very helpful and most agreeable.

the stairs to climb the mezzanine is not suited for everyone and the beware dangerosity of both the stairs and mezzanine (a small kid can fall easily for lack of protection). but the rest - owners and place is awesome (Garden top!!!!)

The accousitc isolation of the rooms could have been a tad better, but what can you expect in an old house like this!

Beautiful historical rural house with great private garden and swimming pool. Only a good 10 mins from Santiago de Compostela and in the other direction a mere 30mins from the coast. Friendly and helpful owners/staff and great breakfast. The rooms are clean and big with all necessary comfort.

No English news stations available on the their TV cable service. Recommend providing terry house ropes in the rooms.

The kindness of the owners Carlos and Tania and the setting - spectacular! The couple goes out of their way to make every guest feel special and at home. The setting is amazing with beautiful gardens and a large swimming pool. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable.

Such a nice place you expect professional staff. The couple who runs it are more willing than able to run a business like that. The food was too simple..they are no cooks and know too little about handling food. They served wine from two separate bottles..we had to send back one of the glasses. Far too expensive comparing to the 4 star hotels and the small pensions we went to ealier on our trip. Nowhere else we have paid so much for food and wine. It was certain ly not worth it. Wifi did not function in room only outside the office.

Wonderful house and garden...peace and quiet.

More information about finding the place from the Camino path

Lovely welcome from Carlos and Tania when we arrived. Pool was lovely after our hot walk on the Camino that day and they prepared a meat and cheese platter for us. Very accommodating throughout.

    Nothing

The relaxed laid back atmosphere of this old house in the country house was typical of the slow movement. the young couple who run this hotel deserve much praise for the ambience. We eat there for two nights and the food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The table-tennis table was dusty and the balls and paddles were very poor quality, which can be disappointing if you are a table tennis aficionado.

The main building is very good restored and decorated and the library is a very nice detail. The owners are very nice and available. The location is excellent if you are traveling by car and want to visit Santiago de Compostela and the villages in Galicia, including the seashore. The whole complex is quite good and the garden is very nice to rest or just going for a bath in the swimming pool and have some sun. There is a table-tennis table where we can have some fun. The breakfast is fairly good and diversified and the dinning room, as the rest of the whole place, is quiet and clean.

It's the little things that break the fun. Hairs in the bathroom, Internet outages all the time, rotten fruit on the breakfast table, owners in a fight, noisy machines early in the morning. And I really doubt that any of the owners ever tried out the shower: there's no way you can stand under it without holding it. Not nice.

It's a really nice place. And the couple running it do their best.

Far off the Camino trail. The owner did pick us up and drop us back the next day but I felt that he was a little reluctant to do it.

Beautiful property. Given a guided tour of house which has an interesting history, fascinating art collection and library, also including a pigeon 'house' now used as a wine store. Excellent food and wine. Very friendly owners.
