Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandI liked everything. 😍
The authentic Spanish look and feel of the place. I loved the Spanish tiles and all the plants. This is definitely a quirky hotel with lots of nooks and crannies to explore! The view from the roof terrace is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you. 🌻

New ZealandIt’s a lovely, rambling old ryad-style building. It had everything we needed, and the staff were helpful but not intrusive. Breakfast buffet was great.

ItalyBreakfast was disappointing, there are not many choices and the buffet not always refilled with enough frequency. One morning we went at the opening time and most of the stuff was not even ready by the time we had to leave.
The building is stunning. Perfect position. Big room.

United KingdomUnderstandably with a building that is hundreds of years old, level of general comfort is not the same as in a modern hotel. It is very easy to get lost in the area, so might be worth using the Map app on your Mobile ... I became lost after checking out :)
It is a brilliant hotel if you particularly enjoy the historic ambiance. Breakfast was pleasant in good setting. The hotel is convenient to the main tourist features of Seville.

United KingdomThe room for breakfast was cramped and we were lucky to get the last available table. Others had to breakfast on the patio, which would be lovely in the summer but is too cold in the winter. There was a limited choice of breakfast cereal (cornflakes or coco pops) and no black tea.
We loved the character of the hotel with beautiful patios and traditional decor. We had a suite with good kitchen facilties, which we weren't expecting. The heating was also good for such an old building and we were able to control this ourselves making it a cosy stay.

SingaporeTV was quite small with limited channels. We also needed parking but we couldn’t access the hotel-affiliated parking due to road closures and had to find alternative parking further away.
The building and grounds are well-kept and charming. The lovely scent when we enter the hotel is a nice touch.

United KingdomFirst room had a bed with no space to get in or out at the sides. Luckily they were able to move us. However, poor mattress, bouncy and transmitted all movements. Kettle supplied, but no tea bags or coffee. Sink and hob provided, but no facilities for washing up. Wash basin arrangement very odd - mounted in an old free-standing wash-stand and nowhere to put anything. Softer lighting might have been nicer. Cooked food not kept hot, and scrambled egg hard and over-cooked. No sliced bread for toast. No standard tea bags were provided in breakfast room, and we were told they couldn't get any during our stay. However on searching, we found them concealed behind a curtain!
Very good location, quietly situated and handy for all local attractions. Very interesting and attractive property internally. Quiet room.

United States of AmericaThe attached bathroom was old. It was grand at one time, but the shower curtains hardware needed upgrading. Some of the caulking needed to be redone. The staff however did a great job keeping the room and bathroom very clean.
The room just fit two beds, barely, but had a nice wardrobe which was helpful as we stayed almost a week at the hotel. There was a small sitting room with a TV with Spanish shows, a small desk with a chair and a love seat. As the rooms were in an old house, there were other rooms with the same configuration but with larger sized sitting room. We were not able to change rooms as they were fully booked. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the sunken garden was ok. I think breakfast may not be a Spanish thing as breakfasts at other locations were nothing to talk about either. Very good selection of Nespresso coffee and don't miss the OJ though. The various courtyard in the hotel could be lovely but needed someone who knows plants to make it so. As it is, it's adequate. The hotel is located next to a convent, and we caught a religious procession that stopped at the convent. It was an interesting piece of local culture. The hotel is also close to a flamenco place as well as streets for catching busses and walking to the castle.
