Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaOur time at this accommodation was truly special. Perfectly located between La Palma’s two main towns — Los Llanos and Santa Cruz de La Palma — it gave us the best access to both sides of the island while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. One of the highlights of our stay was the absolutely stunning view: from the garden and around the house, we had a direct line of sight to the newly formed Tajogaite volcano, the beautiful Pico Birigoyo, and the breathtaking Caldera de Taburiente. Every glance felt like a postcard. At night, the magic continued. With no light pollution, we could clearly see the Milky Way with the naked eye — right from the garden. Stargazing became part of our routine, and it’s something we’ll never forget. The house itself was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully equipped with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable and easy stay. Every detail was taken care of, and the space felt warm and welcoming from the start. Our host was simply wonderful — warm, generous, and genuinely caring. She even had a charming display of handcrafted souvenirs in the house, available for purchase. It was such a lovely way to take a bit of La Palma’s spirit home with us. We are deeply thankful for this experience. If you’re looking for a place that offers beauty, comfort, authenticity, and kindness, this is it. We would return in a heartbeat.

Austrianothing! within the price range and objectived to find simple, yet very well prepared isolated living environment there is nothing to dislike.
Isolated location but inside the El Paso village. Good and relaxing environment, isolation from everything, old traditional house but carefully reconstructed and furnished with a good sence of style, care, simplicity and love, with 2 rooms good for living and staying.

United KingdomA car was useful for shopping for provisions or accessing restaurants as the walk can take over 30 minutes. We were aware of this when we booked our stay. However the benefits of the property outweigh this minor inconvenience.
Ida and Michele were perfect hosts. The property is a beautifully restored house with everything provided for our very comfortable weeks stay. Ida's attention to every detail was exemplary. There is a lovely garden to sit in. The property is ideally situated for walking the central part of the island and within walking distance of the National Park Visitor Centre. We are likely to return next year.

ItalyThe coziest place on the island. Amazing views 360 degrees, surrounded by green hills and amazing plants in the garden. El Paso is very close, is quite centered in the island so you can visit the whole island towards a different direction every day. Ida is a wonderful host, she welcomed us in the best way, left goodies for us and gave perfect tips to visit the island. The house is finely decorated, feels authentic and coherent with the surroundings. It is equipped with everything you could need (laundry, dishwasher, home appliances). The garden is really the magic touch, there’s privacy and you can sit by the plants and enjoy the breeze disconnecting from the world, only roosters and bee sounds every now and then. Just PERFECT ✨

GermanyThere really is nothing to say in this section.
The other reviews cover the thoughtful and complete equipment of the house by Ida already. The house is however also excellently located. By car you can reach Tazacorte and Santa Cruz in less than half an hour and Fuencaliente in about one. This makes it a perfect place for a long stay. There is also a bus stop within walking distance.

GermanyCasita La Rosa strikes a really great convenience / landscape balance. You can see from the amazing garden both La Caldera and the new volcano (at a distance!); drive 4 minutes to the Taburiente visitor's center or, on the other direction, to get groceries at a nice supermarket. The best about the place is, no doubt, Ina's attention to detail. She genuinely cares that you are having a good stay. Beyond providing us with good tips, she gave us a small delicious present to make our Christmas stay more cozily Italian. As other people write, she also gave us a little goodbye present. That really tops the experience and it really is not needed to already make you feel happy of staying in a nicely renovated, cute but modern, house.

Amazing fruit garden and amazing host! Ida is such a generous person and makes you feel at home. We were welcomed with a gift basket, fresh water and fruits. During our stay we even got some more fruits from the garden. Of course, they were freshly picked and delicious! Additionally, we have never been in such a well equipped apartment. Having breakfast out in the garden and watching the waterfall of clouds was also a unique experience.
