Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The property was beautiful and unique. It was located in a quiet village, and Tomas made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was a lovely selection of home made cake, fresh local produce and juices. The communication with Tomas was excellent and we were able to check in and head off to Bilbao and then return late at night.

United KingdomThis is a lovely property of character with large comfortable rooms and Tomas and his partner are great hosts. They have renovated it and furnished it with period pieces, and they put on interesting tours for guests. Ayuelas is a small hamlet, but they offer dinner if reserved in advance. It was a good stop for me on a 3-day cycling trip from San Sebastián to Burgos (I also stayed at Hotel Ormazabal in Bergara).

Beautiful hotel in idyllic village. The hosts were exceptional and food excellent: homemade, healthy and very tasty. Bedroom was comfortable and adequate parking. The tour of the house was very interesting, and it was a credit to Tomas and Tomas that the restoration of the house has been lovingly restored, to enhance it's many original features. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to returning in the future.

Italya tip for the colonial suite: towel hangers over the bathroom sink and a shower curtain (glass protection is not enough)
Casona Indiana de Ayuelas is an historic house in the middle of a beautiful cultivated countryside. the hotel is run by tomas and tomas, two wonderful smiling and kind people who made us feel at home. when you enter you immediately have the sensation of traveling through time because the hotel itself is a museum and customers have the unique opportunity to stay, sleep and eat in a very special place. the hotel is furnished with old furniture and there are interesting objects everywhere. you can take a guided tour to learn about the history of the family who built and lived in the house, which we loved very much. we particularly appreciated the owners' love and respect for the place and their attention to details. there is a little private garden and a vegetable garden and you can park outside. the rooms were confortable and we found water km0 and sweets to welcome us. we had dinner upon reservation, the menu is limited but delicious and freshly cooked before our eyes . the breakfast was also fantastic, with homemade products (eggs, yogurt, cheese, cakes). it was an unforgettable stay, thanks to the owners for giving new life to this building full of history!!!

United StatesEverything was perfect.
The owners run a beautifully restored old house with all the modern amenities as well. The breakfast and dinner were lovely, with fresh produce from their own garden, and marmalade and cheese prepared by them. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this little gem to other travelers.

FranceWe chose this hotel at the last minute during our drive to Madrid, we found the description appealing and thought it would be a ncice stop. We were not disappointed! The hotel itself was lovely, with lots of common areas for relaxing, there was also a lot to see in the area, which was clearly explained by our host. We enjoyed both the dinner and the breakfast which were a great example of local produce.

GermanyThis old mansion has been renovated and repurposed as a hotel with so much love and eye for detail, it‘s ridiculous. We only has one night there, bit completely fell in love with the place. The owners are super nice and gave a tour of the estate, explaining the history of the place and how they renovated it. The surroundings are really beautiful, there are a lot of hiking trails and charming, medieval towns to discover. Miranda de Ebro is 15 minutes away by car and offers nice food options for dinners.
