We were in a lower room and there was a smell coming up through the drains. As long as you kept them closed, it wasn’t bad.

Everything was perfect.

The whole experience was first class. Right from checking in, to the room, the restaurant and the castle itself. We were greeted warmly at reception and check-in was a painless affair. When we got to our room it was nice and warm with everything required for a comfortable stay. We had dinner at the restaurant which was very good and reasonably priced, along with friendly and efficient service. The breakfast was also very good and had a variety of items from high end charcuterie items to bread and buns, marmalade, cereals, muesli, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

There was a music loop in the restaurant. It played the same song over and over. Kind of drove me crazy.

We had a very pleasant stay. The castle is extremely well done up with a number of rooms to read or relax. Our room was large and comfortable, shower and bath both worked well. The service from the staff was excellent. Sadly only stayed 1 night so we couldn't visit the winery or the cheese making area. We had a meal in the restaurant which is basically 'fine dining' with prices to match. We shared a mixed cheese starter and had a hake ane prawns for the main meal. Lacking in vegetables and small portions. €20.

Dinner was late, but I guess this is normal in Spain. The only thing that was not up to standard was the breakfast. It didn't offer any egg options; I had to ask for them. There were very few fresh natural yogurts, fresh fruits, or cheeses, and the bread options were not fresh but heavily processed

The castle is a dream. It is beautifully and authentically decorated and maintained, flawless, and has an incredible atmosphere. You really feel like you're being taken back in time. Our room was in the basement, which was spacious, clean, had good wifi, and very comfortable beds. The view from the castle is charming, offering great views. I counted 12 storks with 3 nests in my view. Who would have thought these still exist? Until then, I had never seen a stork before, and they were so close by! Also, they had dog bowls, dog beds and treats for our dogs.

Nothing all was great

The location was perfect. We were travelling from the UK with our dog so it was a pleasure to get away from a motorway and spend a quiet evening in this beautiful place. It's definitely worth the short drive into the countryside. All was lovely. They even had a special bed and treats for our dog, plus there was a safe place to walk him. The castle is beautiful with loads of history. Wonderful stay. And the wine produced on the estate is excellent 👌

On this one occasion the bidet was leaking in a big way, something nobody seems to have noticed.

Basically everything. This was the fourth, or fifth, time we stayed at CBA and we will definitely continue returning. Cleanliness sometimes tends to be impeded by the age of the castle, but with a bit of understanding of these limitations, this fast becomes one of the favourite places to come back to.

Totally unique ! We visited in January and the rooms were super warm and comfortable.. the staff couldn’t have been nicer .. great food and everything was priced reasonably .. Internet in certain parts of the castle was weak but who cares .. we took the opportunity to talk to each other and enjoy the castle’s charm. I thoroughly recommend this property and we will certainly be returning!
