Restaurant and bar were closed as still considered low season in early May. Parking in Lanjaron is a nightmare or quite expensive. Good bus connections so car not really necessary.

Excellent location only a few minutes walk to bus stop to/from Granada. Very nice lobby and sitting area. Spacious room with all usual amenities plus a balcony with table and chairs. Nice little extras such as toiletries, fluffy towels and glasses not plastic cups in bathroom. The best value for money hotel of our three weeks in Andalusia.

Only spanish tv but no bigproblem really as out most of the time. Didnt like being ripped off with price of drinks in Pampaniera village, double the price of any in Lanjaron!

Just off main street but quiet too. Free parking just behind the hotel. Simple breakfast but well worth 2.50 euro each. Someone available on reception whenever we were there. Great hot water for the bath and shower with complimentary soaps etc, Definitely stay again. Great value

Only one complaint was one of the party slipped in the bath and we felt if there had been a handrail this wouldn't have happened.

We all loved the property it was an ideal place to travel to the villages in the Alpujerras and there was plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel was peaceful and nothing was to much trouble. There was 10 of our friends with us and we all said we will go again.

Advertised as having satellite TVs in the room. Mine didn't and they told me none of the rooms do. Wasted a good half-hour with the staff while they futzed around with this. (There is satellite TV in the common area.) Also, the TVs in the rooms are all 13 inch CRT TVs vintage 1995. I.e. pretty much useless. No allowance made for the misadvertised features. Lame excuses offered. Couldn't even extend my checkout time by half an hour.

Nice hotel. A good deal IF you get a good price.

There is no parking area next to the hotel, but it is not a real problem: sometimes, there is space on the street, otherwise, there is a parking area (free) 3 minutes away from there. The new TV is great but it would be nice to give a list of foreign channels (German, English...): we looked for them and could not find them (maybe we have not enough experience with such TVs...)

We stayed at this hotel many times already and we were never disappointed, it is central but in a quiet street. The staff is very friendly and they do not charge extra for pets.

    Not a thing.

We used the hotel as a base for local walks. It was excellent. It was a treat to come back to a quiet, comfortable friendly establishment. Our room was excellent and the staff very helpful. Everything was as we would wish it. There was no restaurant for evening meals. There were however loads nearby and it was pleasant to go out to find a pleasant restaurant. Breakfast was inexpensive, simple and pleasant.

    No complaints.

Hotel Castillo is marvellous. The interior has been decorated in a beautiful Moorish style. It is an oasis of calm and comfort right in the middle of Lanjaron. The staff are very well trained, friendly and helpful. It s very convenient to the bus stop which is brilliant for walkers with heavy packs. The room we had was excellent with a terrace and a beautiful view of the Castillo.

I found the bed a bit hard, and the room could do with a bit of a revamp.

The best part of this hotel is how central it is in the town of Lanjaron and even though it has no on site parking, there is a public free parking nearby next to the hotel. The hotel itself has seen better days but when you compare the price for this hotel with others in the area, it is great value for money. Pets are accepted and there is no extra charge which is an added bonus. All in all this hotel is a great value for money if you are staying in the area, and you wish to bring your furry friends along.

The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The ensuite facilities were very good and everything worked well We were given a room that had a view of the Arab Castle. The Hotel is a short walk from the main street. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed our excellent morning coffee in a small indoor patio with flowers. To the rear of the hotel there is a free car park on waste ground. Close to all the bars but the short street away makes all the difference with regard to peace and quiet.

Had hoped for a view of the castle but only a few rooms had this

The bedroom was much better than expected for the price. Everything was spotlessly clean. WiFi in the room adequate for emails. It was a short walk into the main street. Parking was easily found.Staff very friendly although little English spoken we had no problems. Took breakfast in town.

Considering all aspects, this has been the best all around hotel we have been for the past number of years (and yes, we travel a lot). The service provided by the staff is excellent. The location and the rooms are just great. Many thanks for a great stay

The staff make you feel welcome and cared for, the room service and cleaning is exceptional, the place gleams, the rooms are cosy, nicely done and inviting, just what you want to return to and relax in and the view is outstanding! Great location - I couldn't have been happier.

Limited breakfast - toasted crusty bread roll, jam, juice, coffee but familiar condensed milk spoils flavour......Parking difficult..outside rd 6 places only ok, otherwise municipal parking walk away round back. Only Spanish speaking

View from back room terraces (eg 102) amazing. Spotless old style. Excellent value ! Bar gourmet world coffees choice

Need more modern tv, otherwise nothing.

Sergio &Rafeael are great hosts nothing is too much trouble. The hotel still retains its Spanish charm and tranquility overlooking the castle ruins and surrounding mountains.Great base for a walking holiday or visiting local mountain villages in the Allpajures.

Easy to reach by bus from Granada, with further regular connections up into the mountains. Quiet. Clean air. Fresh water. Top spot to relax. Excellent value for money.
