There are 2 negatives that must be pointed out. First the air conditioning. It's a central one so you cannot control it from your room. During my one night stay it's was not working most of the time and when it was I noticed almost no difference. We're in August, summer with 30 degrees outside, a proper air conditioning was expected. The second thing was the noise during the entire night. I usually don't have problems with sleep but noticed that there was significant noise during the whole night, from inside and outside of the hotel. Since the building is old there's no proper sound isolation on the rooms, you ear everything that happens on the corridors and on the rooms next to yours. Since the air conditioning was not efficient I had to maintain the window opened the whole night, which made the sound from outside even louder.

Very kind personnel, although old the building looks nice, traditional. Some people say that it needs to be modernized but I didn't see broken or bad looking stuff. Yes the bedroom might be a little bit outdated, specially the bed, but I believe it fits the charm of the hotel as a whole. It was clean, no bad smells and everything seemed to be properly working and maintained.

That's what I need, a bed and a hot shower, there's a TV which I don't watch, aircon installed but I didn't need as preferred to open the window for some fresh air. No hairdryer or kettle in the room. There's no cafeteria nearby, out on your left of the hotel and walk straight and all the way to Plaza de España for your breakfast or food. And from there is easy to go visiting places of interest. Train station is quite a long walk away as I arrived at night I took a taxi, is about 7 mins ride, the taxi runs by meter which cost me less than 7€ and am taking bus L18 back to the train station about 6 stops away, fare 1.20€

I still couldn't connect to the WIFI network. The room had a WIFI code for a network that wasn't available. I would advise owners to put felt pads to the legs of the chairs. It's a terrible sound when someone moves furniture.

Everything corresponds to the price. No more and no less. Overall ok. Accommodation for one or two nights.

This hotel is a quirky older building off a small square with a sweeping spiral staircase to rooms on the first floor. The hotel is located inside part of the old walled city. There is no parking on site and the streets are narrow locally but there is free parking on areas of land just outside the walls around the park area. Walking to the centre is easy. Close to the Portuguese border.

It's an old building probably last renovated in the 80's. Don't expect luctury, but for what it is, I loved it.

The room was poor. The door jammed every time (needed a slam) and the beds were awkward to get to. Worse was the bathroom: the toilet flush was broken, the sink taps leaked. The shower head was missing a washer (so squirted in every direction) and the shower fixing bracket was broken. Only the bidet worked as it should. There was only a single socket for the bed lamp/charging

The building nice and the location was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was also good and convenient

The back part of the hotel smelled like paint, which I could smell up to my room, though, I just had to open the windows to make it go away. Also, the room didn't have an air-conditioner (or a fan), as indicated in my reservation.

The hotel's location is great since it's right at the historic centre. I also liked the retro vibe of the hotel, which sort of looks like you went back in the early 1900s. The staff was quite friendly and the room I got was generally clean.

However, the room was quite small and had a very old and dated feel. There was no fridge available, which made things a bit inconvenient. The bed also wasn’t very comfortable, unfortunately. Overall, while the location was a plus, the room itself could definitely use some updates.

The location was great, especially with easy access to the park, really enjoyed that.
