How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was a little difficult to find. Not particularly well located but ok with a car. A bit noisy from the downstairs bar at night. No fridge. No electric jug, cups & saucers available downstairs.
Good staff & a comfortable room. Supermarket across the road.

it was all good - we only stayed for one night.
we picked this hotel purely on the basis it was a 15-20 minute ride from the Santander to Plymouth ferry. The hotel was far beter than we expected with a striking entrance / stairway and lobby. It's in the middle of a seemingly nice residential area and we felt totaly safe and had no worries regarding our motorbike being left outside. The double bedroom we had was large and spotless with a good-size ensuite and there was air conditioning if you wanted it. No tea / coffee making facilities but there was a cafe / bar on site that was open all day and provided decent coffee and food / beer. Do not be put off by looks regarding the cafe - the food, albeit the menu being fairly basic, was very tasty and well cooked. If the bar does not suit you there is a supemarket the other side of the road, so you can self cater.

The restaurant attached to the hotel, but not owned or run by them, was noisy scruffy and limited in selection of food. We went to a nearbu restaurant that was very good.

Breakfast is in the building but with separate company. Quite limited choice.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Basic design but everything that is necessary. Good cheaper option close to Santander if you have your own car.

The breakfast and food is fine, it's provided by a third party so it's ok, but not a hotel buffet. Plenty of places within a short drive to enjoy great food in the afternoon and evening, I have no disslikes ..
Very welcoming and friendly staff, superb quiet location close to small town coastal homemade food. Bed was comfortable, the best pillows I've slept on in a long time. Clean, clean, clean.. this hotel is a realy clean.. did I mention quiet!

it was quite noisy with groups arriving quite late in buses and the room was quite close to reception. We stayed for 3 nights but 1 night is best as a stop over before moving on.

The none food system
The hotel was first class and the staff very good but there are no descent facilities for food .we where sent next door to a bar / restaurant,there was a very loud group on and no tables to eat at.so we missed our evening meal, we where told to go there for breakfast but when we arrived at 09-00 they weren't doing breakfast.We will not return

There is a bar closeby that you can access from the hotel.but Smell of smoke and no attention made us leave and go for breakfast somewhere else.

Cafe was closed but there was a coffee machine in the reception and a tavern 200m away that did great food. The outside of the property didn’t look very welcoming but internally it was pristine.
Newly refurbed and very very clean. Loved the electric recliner in the room.
