My teenagers were very upset not having wi-fi in the apartment , although I don't mind, I prefer to stay away from internet when I'm in vacation. I would prefer to have a better kitchen.

The place is very beautiful. I recommend taking a massage with Ali

Sound proofing between apartments is horrendous, especially for the price. We've been coming for years here and there has been no modernisation, even the bed sheet covers are the same from years ago!! Time to soundproof walls and ceilings!! Modernise bathrooms, and new laundry ... Also don't expect to have a "Spanish" holiday. The resort panders to the demands and habits of the Swiss! So by 9pm lots of food no longer available in restaurant as it's dying down! Spanish only start going out at this time! It's a lovely holiday destination BUT not a Spanish holiday! Quiet by 11pm at night ... if you want a quiet holiday it's ok except for your neighbours noise in apartments!

Sea views exceptional, beach wonderful, lots of sports activities, snorkelling, scuba diving, tennis, swimming pools, etc (except for pool you pay extra, including for parking!!) restaurants on-site decent but go into Tossa de Mar for true Spanish food and some great tapas bars. Fab location, really beautiful part of the Costa Brava coast.

The room was not very clean, the heating wasn’t working and no one answered the phone to come and fix it, TV was all in German with German subtitles - again no one answered phone to rectify this.

The resort’s private beach and the view.

Food/drinks throughout are expensive. The restaurant in the main building on the hill - the food the first night was expensive but excellent - huge variety and dinner was very enjoyable. The second nights meal was extremely disappointing, less buffet variety, and for some reason payment was required after every order of drinks which wasn't the case the first night. Also we had to pay for our older daughter which we didn't the first night. There needs to be an actual price list and menu so you know what to expect. Even the staff seemed happier the first night compared to the miserable attitude the second.

The resort facilities and apartments were fabulous. Lots of fun for all. The staff we excellent in check in and check out. Would definitely return but not eat at the restaurants.

Just a few not so important things to be improved: 1. Shower facilities in the apartments need renovation. 2. Free detergent in the self service laundry would be a favour for your guests or at least a mono dose for selling. 3. Too early check out at 10 am. If no possibility for later check out, would be great to get prolonged buffet breakfast (until 11 am on Saturdays). 4. Professional evening shows (except the Circus man, who is great!) are of poor quality.

Beautiful resort, breathtaking sea views, perfect kids animation (our daughters were so happy both with Mini and Midi clubs!), various sports activities, very good buffet breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant. Many thanks to all the personnel for our most comfortable stay! We'll be back!

Smoking on the beach should not be allowed

It is the 3rd time we have visited Giverola Resort. It is an amazing facility offering lots of activities in the Resort itself (lots of them free of charge). The beach is superb for swimmers and snorkels. The sourrounding beaches and beautiful town Tossa de Mar, which can be reached on foot or by road, makes it a perfect holiday destination. Great resort in the beautiful Costa Brava!

Staff at the reception desk could have been more attentive and friendly (with few exceptions). It didn't by any means spoil our stay (which we've enjoyed a lot), but it wouldn't hurt to smile and show a bit more eagerness to help your guests. But that's not a dealbreaker, the location outweights all of it.

Great location, stunning views, amazimg walking routes around the property - Giverola is a really nice getaway not far from adorable Tossa de Mar, which is just a 10 - 15 minutes ride away. Giverola Resort offers a regular shuttle bus to Tossa, which makes it really easy to get there. Alternatively you could walk there along the coast - it takes about one hour to get there, depending on how many stops you make to take pictures :), doing it at least once is totally worth it! The hotel facilities are good, rooms are clean and great for family stays (they're also fully equipped for cooking and dining in), breakfasts are nice.

ANTS! Since there is NO air con you need to leave windows and the balcony door open, so they get in! Not a lot of them but enough to be a nusence! One cocky male staff member from the reception team! The food is SUPER expensive for what you get quality wise. It's holiday resort quality at London prices!

Nice resort. Great for families. Fitness facilities and classes are included in price. If you dont use these then the resort is expensive. Beach is nice and clean but stoney. Nice small supermarket onsite. Great view from our room - beach facing.

Access to the rooms is very problematic, as you need to walk up a big hill to get there (our rooms were also at the very end). This is because there is no driving within the resort. I would not recommend this place to anyone with small children or elderly members. Also, everything costs extra. You even need to "rent" towels when going to the swimming pool or the beach. The restaurants in the resort are very expensive and the waiters are mostly inattentive.

Outdated facilities and lousy decor inside apartments, too many stairs up or down to majority of them, simple painted concrete of house construction. Most unpleasant was noise throughout the day from motos used by personnel to carry various supplies to/from apartments. Reception personnel did not show friendly attitudes when problem arose.

Splendid location, probably the best in Costa Brava or in whole Spanish Mediterraneo. Major benefit in comparison with any other place are views from any of the houses - either sea and green coast view , or just a green mountain slope view - but always green and without ugly multi-stores buildings.

Some of the staff (at reception, at restaurant) were unkind and even borderline rude. Seems to be a favorite destination of German/Swiss package tours for elderly travelers when we were there. The resort is very expensive in comparison in all respects but especially given the staff attitude.

Great location, great views, fabulous beaches, lots of trail activities like running, biking, hiking, spacious apartment with all the basics. Great pools for kids, one for the v little ones and the one w the water slide. Lots of other sport activities like tennis, mini-golf. We have a lovely long weekend.

The food and drinks on site were very very expensive due to the fact it was too far to walk to Tossa De Mar. 26 euros per person for a buffet dinner of mediocre standards is far too much and the food was tepid if you were lucky. In the beach side restaurant the burgers were raw in the middle and dripping with blood and when asked for a well done burger it was still very pink.

Beds were wonderfully comfortable and well equipped room other than a toaster which would have been welcomed. Plenty of sunbeds.

The only advantage of this resort is fantastic nature views. All the rest... Main task is that you get into restaurant... Need Wi-Fi? Go to restaurant, and even there it works 50/50... Something for breakfast - to restaurant, because the only shop does not provide any choice but offers double prices. No air conditioning at all. Disorder with luggage...

Far from Tossa. You also have a long walk to the apartment from the lobby and the parking is far from the apartment too. The food from the beach self service is poor and expensive. All that jazz... Good but some variety would be better... Longer (later) restaurant opening times would be better and more options for breakfast (when not included in room rate).

Facilities are just what are required, and things work... very Swiss - most languages spoken everywhere. Scuba diving is easy to arrange. Kids club is flexible and good attitude from staff. Sports, including cycling, are easy to participate in. All very relaxed, friendly and welcoming, throughout.

Do not waste your money on this so called “resort”! 95 euro/ night for bare walls, outdated furniture, no breakfast and no peace - this is too much! Seems that everything here is done to make guests` life miserable and complicated. You have to follow long stairs and narrow passages before getting to your room with all your bags on your back. There are some ways (more convenient) but they will never tell you about them. Rooms are not cleaned (but they leave a mop for you to wash the floor by yourself – for 95 euro, remember?). Luckily we stayed there for 2 nights only. But all the time they were drilling and cutting the grass and doing God knows what but the noise was unbearable. The pool is open from 11 am (!) till 6 pm. Sometimes you cannot use it because of diving lessons and people playing “water polo”. The path to the beach (recommended by the staff) is highly dangerous – you may break your neck in daylight. Locals on the beach. Lots of noisy schoolchildren doing various sports. Paid for 3-4 stars hotel we just got into a summer school camp. Not recommended to anyone!

Just nature but the “resort” takes no credit for that.

We're fairly fit but hauling 2 little ones up to the top of a very large hill every day was tiring. There are tons of steps (don't even think about that stroller) and no elevator. The food was mediocre and very expensive. I had undercooked meat twice, also. Your only other choice for dinner is to hop in your car and drive the very windy road to Tossa de Mar. Food there wasn't much better either but ok. If you go outside of July-Aug, the water is coooold, even the pool which isn't heated.

There were a TON of activities at this resort, but our kids were a little too young to participate. Great for adults and older kids. The view (get the sea view!) was breathtaking. Fun and relatively inexpensive boat to Tossa was fun for us and kids. Sangria at pool bar was really good.

(13 EUR).

We did have a very bad experience with the diving. Instructor was very unprofessional. Would recommend to use diving in Tossa City. Some great outlets there ( tossasub). Food in the restaurant is average

The location, design and concept was excellent. We enjoyed our stay at giverola very much. Almost everything matched Swiss precision (we learned that the owners are Swiss). Great staff as well

The Wifi signals are not so good and only work in the public area. The dish drying rack is not available, which makes self-catering a bit more laborious.

The beautiful location, breathtaking views, delicious breakfast, very friendly and professional staff, the variety of sports and activities

Rooms were old, beds uncomfortable, dated furniture

Great location, good food, well maintained pools and installations
