The location is fabulous, in beautiful canion. It's very unusual stay in a natural village-like atmosphere. The cave is awesome, and it also has a fireplace. The host - Ramon - is also nice and helpful. The proximity to Sierra Nevada is also great.

Arriving by bicycle was difficult- the only access from Guadix is on stony dirt roads as the N road is now a motorway spur. We made it but it wasn't easy!

The experience of staying in a cave was very different to usual hotel accommodation. We cooked our own meal and found the fridge useful.

Our TV didn't work for our 2 day stay and wifi very ropey. And extremely noisy kids next door using the corridor as a playground.

Very quirky staying in a cave! And was very cool inside.

The cave itself and the shared facilities need investment to bring them up to the standard that is acceptable for the money charged. In the cave the general facilities were sparse and the quality of finish poor. The beds were very uncomfortable and the family cave we were in would not in our opinion be sufficient if you were travelling with 2 kids. There is one pull out bed and another day bed which doubles up as the sofa. There are only 2 rooms (excluding bathroom/toilet) so it becomes very very cramped. The damp / musty smell in the cave was very strong. Whilst we accept that when staying in a cave there will be differences to a hotel but this could be countered with an airing of the cave before we arrived and some scented oil / candles etc. A dehumidifier would also have dealt with the damp. The pool area needed a good clean and there were many broken tiles around the pool area. The BBQ areas were not great and needed cleaning up.

The experience of staying in a cave was excellent and one I am glad we did. The landscape in the 'desert' area to the north is worth a visit - it was an excellent drive.

Arriving to the location was difficult. The gas stove in the kitchen does not have anything to turn it on (fire/spark), hence we could not use the stove for cooking. There was no cloth rack or line to put the washed cloths to dry. Not enough light in the kitchen. The light switch in the living room does not stay off when turnd off; it springs back to on position! The bathroom sink kept leaking. More maintenance need to be done because there was missing tiles from the jeccuzi and they were not fixed, hence causing harm if the skin scraped against it. It really should be fixed. Every time we opened the door, flies came in!

Fantastic quiet place. Very serene and comfortable place. Comfortable bed and seating in living room. Nice kitchen. Spacious bathroom. It was nice to be able to use the washing machine. The jacuzzi was also very nice

Think BBQ area was very run down.

Staff were very friendly. Restaurant was walking distance. They weren't serving meals but the tapas were lovely. Staff there were very friendly too. Handy for guadix which is a lovely town.

    Everything was perfect.

It is a real house with bedroom, kitchen, living room and all the facilities, but it is a cave. Everything is done for guests to have a wonderful time. The room are very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has all the equipment. The caves are among the mountains, so it is very impressive. All the time you feel like you are along with nature. If I had chance to change my trip, I would have spent more days at this place.

It was a little hard to find. A tip - don't follow the GPS, follow the directions on their website. Try and find the restaurant Meson Guadanul and its right next door.

It was really a 'casa rural' not just a room. Ie like a fully equiped apartment, complete with spa bath, but in a medieval cave!! The snow at Puerto de la Ragua was only 30 min drive away, and no need to meddle with the masses. I only wish we'd stayed longer!

No bad experience, just somewhat removed from the city and more of a process getting to and from.

It was beautiful and a wonderful retreat like experience from the city. Also a great restaurant within walking distance.

far away from any place to visit or even have dinner (you just need to come here by car & move by car - it should have been written within the offer), as for the price - place is not accomplished yet (under renovation), lack of breakfast option
