Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Pillows were not comfortable at all. Eggs, omelette, sausages and warm food were missing in the breakfast buffet.
Staff was so kind. We ate dinner in the bar of the restaurant which was very delicious.

Thank you very much, everything went well. In general, it’s not bad, if you don’t find fault too much, and if you don’t have any pretensions and just express an opinion, then the hotel really doesn’t have enough slippers, since it’s not so clean that you could walk barefoot. Another of the minuses was that there was a dog smell in the room ((, as a pregnant girl, this brought me a lot of discomfort. This is not a complaint, in general we were satisfied, the cleaning was done daily, the staff was responsive, for some reason they didn’t take the tip that we left for cleaning the room ,every day they were transferred to the cabinet.

While our experience had many positive aspects, one aspect that didn't quite meet our expectations was the location. Unfortunately, the surrounding area lacked the picturesque beauty we had hoped for. The immediate surroundings were rather nondescript, lacking the charm and natural allure that we typically seek when choosing accommodation. Although the property itself was well-maintained and offered a comfortable retreat, we found ourselves wishing for more scenic views or nearby attractions to enhance our overall experience.
The room exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a sense of tranquility. The décor was tasteful and modern, with soothing color schemes that immediately put us at ease. The room was impeccably clean, with attention paid to every detail. It was spacious, allowing ample room to move around comfortably, and featured all the amenities one could desire for a relaxing stay. The large windows offered breathtaking views of the surroundings, adding to the overall charm of the space.

The shower was a bit annoying. The glass shower door didn’t seem long enough so water would end up on the floor and the shower head leaned to the left which allowed water to run down the wall and round the edges and pool onto the floor rather than in the drain. However the water was nice and hot and the pressure was great.
Super close to the metro the reception area was very modern

Mostly the wonderful welcome we got from Maria anytime we saw her, especially when checking in, such a fantastic lady, very informative, had a great sense of humour, welcoming & willing to help us at all times, such an amazing asset to the hotel, Paola was also a fantastic lady, welcoming as well, they made our stay memorable, we enjoyed every minute & felt so comfortable straight away, Belin was on reception in the morning time, another gorgeous member of staff who gave us great advice about transport, gave us the change required etc.. well done Hotel Ilunion for caring to have such amazing staff it really makes the difference, we shall definitely be back 😆

I could sleep only when the last guest entered the room and the first one left. Slamming the doors was the nightmare. Maybe the hotel should consider the soft closure system or similar?

-The room was too warm, and the AC could only heat up. We didn't manage to set it to cool down whatever we did. Strange. -Based on the pictures we thought the 2 rooms are separate. Not so in real life, as there was no separating door. Inconvenient for a workation and taking work calls. -The door to the shower and WC barely closes and there is no sound isolation. Very weird. I would recommend the hotel to install different WC doors which block out at least some noise. E.g. if the other person is on a call, you can too easily hear what is going on in the bathroom :) -No door to the sink either, which is separate from the shower / WC room and next to the entrance and shelves.
Great and helpful staff, thank you! Very large room, loved it. Large comfy bed. Okay location - near to the metro. Not really walkable to the center (although we walked a couple times, it was almost 1h)

The light from the room was poor. A ceiling light might help. The bathroom door was transparent and did not close perfectly, which is unpleasant when there are 3 people in the room. Staff could be more friendly and smiling.
The hotel is close to Alfonso XIII metro station (line 4). Mercadona is also near by. The room was quite large. The breakfast was good. It is a quiet hotel.
