Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt'd be better to have a few hangers in the closet. The shower head is too high to grab it.
It's a cute and clean hotel. The bed is comfortable. People working at the reception desk are a little serious, especially the guy working during daytime.

United KingdomParking arrangements. When we booked it said there was on site parking but there wasn't. We had to park in a public car park which was a 30 minute walk. Plus there was so many road works that we needed a police escort to actually reach the hotel. Booking.com needs to revise their booking form.
Everything about the hotel was perfect.

Costa RicaThere may be a bit of noise from the people on the streets at night, since it’s so central, but nothing too bothersome.
It is very well located, very comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, spacious rooms, nicely decorated and has great value for your money.

Wonderful location right in the old town. The hotel has been meticulously renovated to a modern standard. Outstanding staff. Our room was well appointed with views of the Alcazar and surrounding landscape. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, particularly due to the variety of fresh fruit on offer. The car park below the hotel is a true bonus! Also the generous outdoor garden and seating areas are amazing.

CanadaUnfortunately there is construction throughout Segovia which did not allow us to unload in front of the hotel. We had to drive to the parkade which took a little time to find and is very small. We also could not park there and drove to the free parking lot about 800 meters away. On the positive side the parkade had an elevator to bring our luggage up to our floor.
Our check-in was very smooth and the room was modern and clean. The overall appearance of the hotel was modern and pleasant. It was also located close to all the sights, shopping, restaurants, etc. Overall a very pleasant stay.

AustriaIf you want a place right next to restaurants and bars, this is not it. But that was not what I needed.
The room was very clean, bright, well appointed with all necessary things including coffee machine, mini fridge and a safe. Fantastic view of the valley, countryside and the Alcázar from the balcony (had room with balcony on same floor as reception). All the staff was amazing and helpful, even though I spoke very poor Spanish. Only 1-2 mins walk to the wonderful Restaurant Don Meson with incredible cochinillo asada (suckling pig). A short walk to the Plaza Mayor and everything else you need. The breakfast (9€) was pretty good as it included a few hot items as well as pastries, great selection of fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, and good coffee. Only 3 mins downhill walk to the Alcazar. Great common patio with grassy area and tables. Nothing not to love about this hotel.

United KingdomThe location to find by car, we found very difficult. The usual approach to the hotel was blocked and although the hotel provided us with good directions, we got lost and going around in circles. It took us nearly an hour before we found the right road. Thanks to the receptionist on duty who gave us clear instructions over the phone.
The location was perfect for exploring the old city. The hotel was well appointed and very clean and fresh. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

United StatesWe arrived late and could not get clear directions to the hotel and parking, got stuck in narrow roads with signs saying no access ( except hotels) and then blocked due to works… after stressful hour of roaming the streets, the staff directed us to a different public parking where we reached with GPS; then eventually walked to the hotel and everything was fine…

United StatesNothing! Everything was perfect. We should have stayed longer.
Amazing location! It really could not have been better. Driving into the city center was a little intimidating, but the directions were very clear and it was an easy and scenic walk to the main plaza. The room was lovely and the staff were incredibly friendly. It was also a very good value for the high quality of the hotel. We also had the very best shower, with excellent water pressure and amount of hot water, that we’ve had on our entire three week trip through Spain and Portugal. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful town.

SpainThis was my third trip to Segovia and my first stay at Hotel Don Felipe; however, Don Felipe is now my preferred hotel when I visit and bring friends to Segovia. And the view from our room was like an 18th-century landscape. Also, having stayed in the old city before, I knew the location could be noisy. Don Felipe, however, was wonderfully quiet.
