Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicUnfortunately we did not take the dog outside because we needed to drive away but would love to take them when we come back.
The location was amazing overlooking Granada while being close to the Sierra Nevada park. Breakfast was amazing and would be lovely to visit later during the summer to enjoy the pool with such a great location. Very large, comfortable bed. The cherry on top were two lovely golden retrievers waiting to be petted and even willing to accompany us for a walk up the hill.

JordanNestled amidst the serene forested mountains, this hotel offers a tranquil escape from busy life. The staff are sweet and attentive, the food delicious, and the rooms spotlessly clean. Plus, there's an adorable dog adding to the charm. A perfect retreat for those seeking peace and relaxation.

SpainThe breathtaking views from the hotel are a serene blend of natural beauty and architectural marvel, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle of everyday life. The hotel's charm is significantly enhanced by its delightful resident bunnies, hopping about in their gentle, carefree manner, adding a touch of whimsy and joy to the surroundings. These furry friends, along with the hotel's friendly dogs, create a heartwarming atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. At the heart of El Balcón Hotel's exceptional experience is Patrick, the owner. His warmth and genuine hospitality are unparalleled. Patrick goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and cherished. His attention to detail and deep commitment to guest satisfaction make the stay truly special. Adding to this enchanting experience is the culinary mastery of Chef Natasha, a French chef whose talent transcends borders. Her background brings a unique flair to the table, expertly blending French culinary techniques with local Spanish ingredients. Each meal prepared by Natasha is a work of art, offering a symphony of flavors that tantalize the palate and celebrate the fusion of cultures. In conclusion, El Balcón Hotel is a hidden gem that offers an absolutely delightful stay. It's a place where the beauty of nature, the warmth of hospitality, and the joy of gastronomic delights come together to create an unforgettable experience. The fusion of French culinary artistry with the serene Spanish landscape makes for a truly unique and memorable stay. I left with a heart full of memories and a promise to myself to return to this enchanting haven.

CroatiaWe couldn't stay a bit longer.
The location is amazing - the hotel is a 5 minute drive into the Sierra Nevada national park and is a great starting point for hiking and also only a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Granada. The staff was very friendly, helpful and made us feel more like we we're staying with friends than at a hotel. The room we booked was very roomy, comfortable and with a big balcony overlooking the breathtaking national park and Granada. Breakfast and dinner by the pool was also a big part of the overall experience and the food itself was great. A surprising bonus we're Duna and Logan, the two beautiful dogs who are always happy to greet you.

The small hotel is located 20-25min from Granada in a very quiet area with a magnificent view on the city and the Sierra Nevada. In front of the hotel there is plenty space to park your car on the street for free. The staff were al very friendly and the rooms offered all comfort you needed. We booked the room with the separate in room bath tub and this was awesome! In the neighbourhood there are not a lot of restaurants but this is no problem because dinner at the hotel, made by the owner herselve, is excellent and tasty. We enjoyed the pool and relaxing area accompanied by the 2 house dogs. There is an honesty bar and fresh made cocktails available in request! The dogs are present but if you ignore them they will not search for any attention. On the otherhand, watch out when you start throwing his/her rock or when you start petting them, they keep you busy for hours. Breakfast is nice and taken well care of.

BelgiumWe loved everything about this place! Pedro is such a sweet host, you really feel at home. There are two dogs en several bunnies living at the hotel, which is a plus for animal lovers like us. The view was amazing, the room (suite) very romantic due to super comfy bed, view and bath in the middle of the room,… Breakfast and dinner was lovely and there are so many possibilities to enjoy yourself nearby (Sierre Nevada, Alhambra, Granada, biking, the coast,…). And you get all of this for a relatively small price. We loved it :)!
