Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLight pollution: I could not turn the spot light off on my terrace and the black outs did not quite cover the glass. There were also floodlights outside. It’s great to be able to see the stars.
What a great location! The bed was so comfortable. The room and ensuite great, super clean.

NetherlandsThere is no garbage box in the bedroom, only one in the bathroom. And no tissue box in the bedroom ethier.
The location is really nice. Beach is in front of the hotel. Also nice view from my hotel room. The hotel itself is like an art gallery. And the restaurant is also nice. Also the cleaning staff really did a good job, she came to my room when I was staying inside and working. I noticed that she spent some time to make everything tidy.

CanadaProperty is getting dated. The room could have been better cleaned - hair, dirt on floor. Bathroom sink faucet leaked. A good hike to Sitges centro.

United KingdomThe bathrooms are tired. They need to be redone especially the grouting, shower area and bath. Also the bathroom furniture. Would be better to have FRESH orange juice at breakfast - the machine juice is never very nice.
The breakfast was good and the show of art around the hotel was great. The pools are good and the service is excellent.

NetherlandsIf you're not a big walker, the hotel is a bit far from the city centre. Sitges has many steep slopes, I was surprised how exhausting that can be, especially when it's warm. For about € 12,- a taxi will bring you quickly to the centre though.
We loved our stay at the Estela. It is filled to the brim with nice art, in the public spaces and in the rooms. Hygiene is taken seriously here, it was very clean. Our room was huge, with separate bedroom. The big balcony looked out over the port and sea. Cute cats filled the garden. Iris, the hotel's restaurant, served really excellent food. A bit pricy, but we found it worth it. Within walking distance there are also many restaurants with fresh, gorgeous, fish dishes!

Saudi ArabiaIt's a 25 min walk to centre....but I knew that. Also, it seems petty to be charged 1 Euro for water from fridge in room. It is good quality hotel at good rates, charge seems unreasonable. Also, no tea or coffee in room.
Hotel location to the sea. Artwork in reception is remarkable.

United KingdomWould’ve liked more gluten free options for breakfast and dinner. It took three attempts to get our door to our room fixed, we were worried about our personal items. Was told to slam door to lock it, but cleaner didn’t do that, came back to find door unlocked. It was fine once it was properly fixed.
The art work and the lift was amazing, the size of the room was much bigger than we expected, fabulous art work in the room. Good to have bus stop across from hotel. Good beaches and restaurants nearby, but would like to see more shops in area.
