Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Loved the location, and the room was spacious. Plus the outside area was perfect for some sun downers

United KingdomRoom was stuffy, air con was super loud and sounded like it was going to fall off the wall.. dirt dangling from the ceiling in bathroom, dust was so thick on the light shade you could write your name in it. Lift kept taking us to floor R before taking us wherever we wanted to go 😅
The view, the terrace, the lobby was nice and location was perfect, staff were helpful and lovely

United States of AmericaThe storage area for luggage which was needed since we got there early after getting off a cruise, was horrible. It was on the top (bottom ones were taken), and it was very hard to lift my suitcase up to put it in the locker. I wish we could have stored our luggage by the front desk.
I love the location. This was our second time staying here. The shower was great as well. The breakfast was really good.

United States of AmericaHotel rooms in European cities generally run small, and this was no exception. Probably the only real drawback was needing to be something of a gymnast to negotiate the shower safely.
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is right off Las Ramblas, and close to the Gothic Quarter, which is a really interesting set of streets to explore. It is within walking distance of just about anything you would want or need.

United KingdomThe receptionist took a very long time to greet or acknowledge us when we arrived, and continued to work on the computer, whilst we stood at the desk. A simple "Hello, I'll be with you in a minute", would have made all the difference. The price seemed quite expensive for the standard of the room.
The bed was really comfortable and the shower was nice and powerful. The room was nice and clean.

IrelandI didn't like the fact that wash basin is in the room (outside of the washroom). The taps and toilet holder were almost broken. But it was manageable for me as I stayed for only two nights. Also, I requested for a terrace room upgrade on their website , got no reply from them and when I reached I was checked in to the double room. As I didn't get any reply for the upgrade I thought I will be getting the terrace room . But overall stay was quite good.
I really liked the location of the hotel. It's in La Rambla and you can access everything from there. The staffs were really good and even for 2 days, they cleaned the room. I also bought some souvenirs and left it in the hotel mistakenly, we stored our luggage after checkout, and the staff found them afterwards and they sent it out to the luggage storage on our names. It was very nice of them as I would have come back without any gifts for home.

United States of AmericaNothing at the hotel that I did not like. The only difficult thing is the Gaudi Palace across the street can bring large crowds who linger outside the hotel doors and on the sidewalk for photos making it difficult to enter/exit - of course not at all the fault of the hotel.
Arrived early in the morning, friendly front desk staff. LUGGAGE - A special room, upper floor with individual lockers, we had two small suitcases and two backpacks which both fit in one locker. You also receive a security/hotel card which allows you to access the elevator to the storage area and the lounge/toilets. SAFETY - to access anywhere beyond the lobby you need the security card which is also scanned to enter the front doors/lobby at night. ROOMS - I traveled with another adult who had their own room, both were very different, yet each was large and exceptionally clean. MY ROOM - small entrance hallway with a bench and coat hooks; the main room had a large wardrobe, desk, and a bed with two side tables; the bathroom was smaller than some other hotels, but sufficient and clean. Located in the back of the building with a small balcony - I loved it as I sat outside and observed "everyday life" of the neighborhood. OTHER ROOM - the other adult in my party was on another floor and had the room some people negatively reviewed with a "see through bathroom." It had glass walls, but they were not transparent. Per those negative reviews - yes the shower room and toilet were separate, this is common in Europe. The room was large and also very clean. NOISE - this is an old city, you are staying in the middle of the excitement/city and yes the walls are thin - this is an old building! Bring earplugs if you need silence for sleep or turn on soft music for background noise. BREAKFAST - we both enjoyed the selection at breakfast. The choices were similar each day, but there is a vast amount of choices to make so we had a variety of food each day (we stayed 4 days). TIP - Mustafa's Kebap across the street is definitely worth the 25 minute wait in line!!! Two small stores on this street to purchase water or snacks. Speed Queen laundromat across the street, just down the block.
