Pretty awesome hostel with nice staff. The lobby bar was also very enjoyable. The guys at the reception were super friendly and helpful when I arrived to check in.

The biggest problem for me is that the towels were charged and not having soap or shampoo for free like other hostels. Also things were failing and other people behaved disrespectfully and was annoying and they did nothing about it.

The breakfast was good, but not worth the money. The staff was amazing, always willing to help and give solutions.

I would say its not really a hostal vibe, you dont meet anyone..( we were not there for that but if a single traveller and was expecting this I'd say it was more of a budget hotel.When we were there, both sides of our room lots of young Spanish teenagers running riot slamming doors. Breakfast not great and served in bar area. We had it for convenience as had to leave early. Lifts are slow we took stairs along. That said it did the job ..for 2 nights Could of done with a hang out area, not just bar .

We liked where the generator was situated as loved the gracia area , lots of lovely squares with cafe bar and not many tourists a village feel.Near parc guell( we used a taxi for up to it 5 Euro and walked back 20 min , sagrada near by . The rooms were smaller than pictured we thought but as a family of 4 (2 teenagers) it did the job as just slept there. 4 person room The roof top was a good view but could be made much better no bar or ambiance.

It would have been nice if there was a kitchen available to make your own food as many hostels have. Also we had issues closing the shower door fully but nothing major.

Very friendly staff (who upgraded our room for free!), great location and overall good vibes. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.

The place is a bit far from beach. And the staff could be more welcoming and friendly. And it was expensive 55 euro for shared room. For that price you can stay in nice hotel in other country in Europa.

I've been in other Generator hostels where they provided free towel and shower soap. I booked all female room but there was a guy; tradeoff was I booked 6 bed dorm and there were only 4 beds. In room toilet was occupied and I only found one hall toilet and then that was occupied.

Light in the bathroom turns on automatically when opening the bathroomdoor, waking up others who were still sleeping. The door of the shower didn’t close properly, which resulted in a very wet floor. The room was very warm, airco didn’t seem to do anything.

Small things can be improved - The gap of the bed from the wall..things keep falling some hanging pockets to keep basic things like charger, phone etc on each bed

No water cooker and refrigerator in the room but it is not a big point because you can use the water cooker and refrigerator of the hostel in the kitchen. There is no television if you need it but we dont miss it.

I like the location. It is handy to travel with public transport. You can access the public transport quickly by metro or bus. You can actually walk to the famous tourist attractions withing 30 minutes. Surrounded by lots of good value restaurants. The roof top has a nice view and so relaxing. The staff's are really kind and helpful. The bed is comfortable. The room is clean.

The elevator to the 7 and 8th floor is a bit tricky. I thought I was gonna get one big bed and got two small ones instead. The bathroom is small but fonctional. It’s a bit annoying that there is no luggage space free and only lockers that you have to pay for. The room was a bit noisy, but it was ok.

The location is fantastic, the industrial design and architecture of the property as well as rooms are excellent for young people or family as well. Fantastic rooftop to chill and enjoy. having bathroom and shower in each dormitory rooms as well as common bathroom and shower in each floor is really convenient. The staffs from reception, housekeeping and everybody else are so accommodating, friendly and helpful. During my stay, Kenya , subir simo, samu and vittoria were really amazing and kind to my every request. I highly recommend this place for your stay while in Barcelona.
