The hotel tried to cancel our booking 4 days before we travelled due to refurbishment works not being finished, however it was quickly sorted out by the reservations team.

Everything about the hotel was excellent, we had the bigger room based on a corner with lots of windows, the shower was the best we have ever had, no pressure problems or temperature fluctuations, The roof top bar was lovely to sit and look out over the city and the food was lovely. The staff all over the hotel were very friendly and helpful, the hotel is situated just behind the Cathedral and a few minutes walk to La Rambla, a perfect location. I would highly recommend this hotel.

There is nothing I dislike about the hotel, but the traffic works directly outside at the time of my visit were not ideal, but nothing they can do about it.

The hotel was fantastic, very clean, excellent interior design, and had plenty of amenities. The rooftop bar being one of the best in Barcelona is a bonus. The best part for me, was the staff. Extremely attentive, but not over the top. Spoke multiple languages and treated each guest in a personal way, remembering names and room numbers, very impressive.

It would have been great if the pool was heated. This way it could be used a few months more throughout the year. Also, a good addition to the gym would be a running machine.

We really liked the friendly staff who have always been there for us. The rooms were modern and of a high standard. The roof top infinity pool with nice views over Barcelona is a highlight of this hotel along with the fact that the hotel is in a nice central location, so most major attractions can be easily reached.

It was difficult to get to and from the Fira Grand Via. I had a bad back and did not really want to use the Metro which was a 10 minute walk away, carrying a bag each day.

The room was a good size and very clean with a super comfortable bed. All the facilities in the room were fine and as you would expect for this level of hotel. The location was great to be in the centre of Barcelona but not so great for me as I need to get to the Fira Grand Via every day and taxis were almost impossible to get. The hotel staff were superb in try to help me with taxis.

Hard ti improve on perfect.

From the moment we stepped out of our taxi to the day we left the staff could not do enough for us! They were very kind, helpful and gracious l The hotel is beautiful, the bed was very comfortable with the best pillows. Breakfast selection was really great. Don't miss the hotel's top floor terrace with it's gorgeous infiniti pool and views overlooking Barcelona. Location is great, just around the corner is the magnificent Cathedral of Barcelona. We truly hated to leave but we will return, there is so much to see and do in beautiful Barcelona and Grand Hotel Central is the perfect place to stay.

Only issue we had was organization of scheduling spa services (scheduled through front desk, but spa staff unaware of appointment). Overall, resolved easily.

Hotel is beautiful with strong focus on service - from drinks while waiting to check in at the front desk, to knowing your coffee order in the morning at breakfast. Concierge services were excellent! Loved the location just steps from the gothic quarter and el born. We loved the rooftop bar/deck where we spent most afternoons after walking around the city. Would highly recommend!

Our stay in the Grand Hotel Central was excellent we couldn't fault any part. The location of the hotel was central and was within walking distance to the Cathedral and the marina. We ate breakfast in the hotel and this provided a wide selection of dishes to meet all tastes.

Room was extremely small. Price was extremely high and area all around us was under construction so difficult to get around all the mess. Staff was not very helpful last day since requested transport to airport the night before and did not have anything. Had to take 2 cabs to airport which was extremely expensive.

The breakfast was very nice and staff were extremely helpful. Hotel lobby was nice.
