Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe biggest disappointment was the restaurant; advertised online as having very exciting gourmet food but when we got there the menu was totally different and had none of the dishes from the online menu. The service was glacially slow and while the waiter was polite it was very difficult to get his attention and the drinks we had ordered. We were so looking forward to this meal and we got some very average food, most of which I left on the plate.
The hotel was lovely, and the room a little dated but very clean and comfortable.

United KingdomNeeds a bit of TLC , was shocked by the standard of food in the restaurant certainly not up to the reviews we read beforehand. Receptionist was very professional and polite but great lack of restaurant and bar staff for the numbers staying in the hotel. No mini bar as advertised and the safe did not work.
Could not fault the location amazing setting .

United KingdomParking was limited and poorly laid out, the staff, though very nice, appears a bit lost on how to run a hotel, for example us and another couple of guests were in the bar and it took ages for anyone to be around to take our order. The restaurant set up is a little strange too, if you have the cheaper menu you are in a different restaurant to the expensive one ... which feels kind of bizarre! Also, unless you are interested in the church, there is nothing to do, no choice of restaurants or bars...nothing!
The room was a good size and clean, the hotel is very grand if a little faded and past its best. Staff were helpful and nice but you got the feeling they had a low level of training. Its a very beautiful location...but very remote. The restaurant offered a reasonable fixed price menu breakfast wa good

RomaniaI don’t even know where to start. This was the most disappointing stay during our honeymoon so far. Few days before arriving I was reading the reviews and saw that the AC was not working. I was really worried about that and I texted them in advance to ask if it’s fixed. They had the audacity to write that everything was repaired and working (I see not from the reviews and from our experience that was not true). When we arrived at the reception after 4h driving the staff started to complain (no welcome, nothing) that we have 2 dogs and we’ve booked the attic room where dogs are not allowed. They treated us like we are some idiots who never travelled before. I ask also if the AC is working, they say yes. We arrive to the room which was incredibly small and has only 2 small bed lamps which illuminates it and it was HELL. It was incredibly hot, and then I see a ventilator. Hmm.. I wonder why is there a ventilator when they said they fixed the AC? I go to the reception (again) to tell them it is not working and the staff insists that the red blinking light of the AC means is working, I just need to wait. Fast forward to the 3rd day - it did not work. I went to the reception daily and every single time they gaslit me that they are working on it. Not to mention that the attic rooms have windows in the ceiling and during the second night there was rain and we could not open them to freshen the room because the rain was falling on our bed. We had to keep our room door open to cool a bit the room as the other guests were passing by. This was such a humiliating experience. The bathroom has no ventilation. It is simply a sauna. The shower was leaking and only 1/2 of the lights were working. The parking is a joke. Of course there was no space for the hotel guests and we had to park the car somewhere else.
We came here during our honeymoon and we really wanted to see Lagos de Covadonga, so for that, the hotel has a good location as you can take the bus / taxi up to the lakes from a spot 100m from the hotel.

SpainGreat SCAM. Hotel that is falling apart. From broken doors, loose room tiles under the carpet, hanging plugs, WiFi that doesn't work, broken air conditioning/heating unit. The beds and pillow are nonsense, the springs stick in and the pillow is cigarette paper, IMPOSSIBLE TO REST FROM THE NOISE. Rooms that are spaces without ventilation and in the hallway there is a smell of frying from the restaurant that enters the rooms. Impossible to park, unless you want your car to be grazed because "the last one is stupid." Many better hotels nearby with better location, price and quality
Just the location

Beautiful hotel in an incredible location. I can’t describe how beautiful the nature is around this hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have three restaurants. One fancy one, one mid-range and a cheap cafeteria. This was very helpful. We found the mid-range option great with the kids and the food was good and affordable. Easy access to Cavadonga lakes from hotel by taxi.

SpainWalls were very thin and so clients in adjoining rooms could be heard clearly. Bathroom mixer taps didn't work so the shower and bath were running at the same time. No plug in the sink. No electric point in the bathroom. No mirror near an electric point in the main room or bathroom. Room furniture was very dated and antiquated. No water available in the fridge Parking was unavailable and chaotic although we reserved. Food at breakfast was mediocre at best. Coffee machine unbearably loud and not working properly.
Location for the main tourist sites. Staff were helpful and friendly.
