The location is very attractive and comfortable near the Alhambra palace. Also, it is very quite up on the hill and convenient for bus connection to the city central and Albaicin. Also, it is not too far to the Plaza Nuevas by walking downhill through nicely looked after surroundings.

Great older botique style hotel in a good location for the Alhambra. Nearby local bus stop to get to old town centre in 10 minutes for 1.50€. Parking in the Alhambra parking lot with a discount. Free WiFi, descent restaurant with continental breakfast buffet.

We appreciated the close proximity to Alhambra, which was the purpose of our visit, and the ease of strolling downhill to explore the town. (Taxis back charged less than 5 euro from city centre.) The receptionist on our arrival was particularly helpful answering our questions about travelling around the city ....

The waiter in the bar. The beds - too hard. Small room with hard beds.

Small room, terrible beds. The waiter in the bar complained loudly in spanish that he was overworked. Did not realize we speak fluent Spanish. Sandwiches lacked half of the advertised ingredients The waiter - who made them - said it was due to changed recipe. Tks tsk tsk. But convenient location for visits to Alhambra.

Unfortunately we could hear the loud 'plumbing' from the bathroom in the adjoining bedroom, which woke us up at about 1am , but apart from that, the hotel was excellent in every other aspect.

The double bed was actually two single bed joined, with a huge gap in the middle. I do love old style furniture in the hotel, but my wife totally disagrees with me in that, so if you don’t like the smell of the wood, stay away from here. About the location, remember that “It’s 15 minutes walking from the centre” means going TO the centre. Going back could take 3 times the time you’ve spent going down. And do not believe the ones who say that Granada is just the Alhambra and the city is nothing special: the city is actually wonderful. To go back to the hotel anyway you can easily take a bus.

Location is the biggest perk of this hotel. If you have booked an early Alhambra visit, better to stay close to the entrance.

Slightly on the expensive side - but definitely not a deal-breaker. The staff was friendly. There was confusion in billing during check out. The waiter/supervisor in the dining area clearly told us that our 2 kids could eat 'buffet' breakfast for free. So, the adults stuck to a more conservative 'continental'. But the final billing included buffet for all of us. So, that took time to sort out and I don't think the front office staff was too happy about it! I feel, we still got charged.

This property is right across the main entrance of Alhambra! Am sure, some rooms even have a view (not ours!). 15mins (downhill!) walk to the city center. There are a couple restaurants nearby, but pricey! Walk to the city center and you have a ton of reasonable options!

The hotel doesn’t have its own parking but has reduced pricing at Alhambra parking and a small place to park for 20-30 minutes to register and carry luggage in front of it. This makes the whole process a bit more complicated. Location is super comfortable for visiting Alhambra, but once you want to see other parts of Granada you better use a bus or a taxi as the walk up (especially with a stroller) is a bit of a fitness workout.

The man working during the day at the reception, as well as the waiter working at cafeteria on a Sunday night were not the most pleasant persons. The dinner options were really poor, basically they only have 5 dishes for dinner and none was interesting. We ended up ordering pizza the 2 nights we dined there. For lunch and every other night, we chose to head into town and eat at a nicer place. When you flush the toilet it makes this really loud sound that will for sure wake up anyone on your room and the neighbor rooms too if you flush in the middle of the night.

Our room had views to a beautiful olive tree plantation, and had a really quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The room temperature was perfect. The bed was a bit too hard, but we slept well anyway. Bathroom was great, and the shower really spacious. It is located right in front of the Alhambra entrance (the one closer to Generalife). C3 bus to downtown just a few meters down the road. Walking down into town takes you on a beautiful path between trees and away from cars. Walking up is a bit harder, so for those with mobility issues, taking the C3 bus is a must (tip: get it at Plaza Isabel la Católica to go back to the hotel). We also really liked the man working at the reception at night (the older one, with a beard). He was helpful and warm.

The orange juice like water... but bread good. The picture on the TV but it didn't bother us as we didn't watch much television. Some people in the staff seem to be so sad.

The comfort of the room, the decoration very charming and classic, the quality of materials throughout the hotel, the space, the view onto an olive tree orchard, the location perfect for visiting the Alhambra (the best location in Granada), the quietness. The car park in front of the hotel is so convenient. The receptionist was very welcoming when we arrived late at night. The lady doing the bedrooms is very nice and helpful. Overall a very nice stay in this hotel.

Horrible coffee. Very bad smell in the lobby similar to spoiled fruit. The smell never went away. Noisy plumbing.

Location was better than described on website. It was quiet. We appreciated the dark room at night and the absence of little LED lights which interfere with a good night’s sleep. Staff was very warm and helpful.

This hotel is very good located for travelers by car, as it is near ALhambra parking, so you can leave your car just there. Rooms are spacious, breakfast was good and stuf was extreemly friendly. Would recommend this place.

Nothing really important, except that it's obviously old and key to room is hard to turn.

Staff are very helpful, location is FANTASTIC - it's literally 20m from the entrance of Alhambra, and 50m from bus C3 that goes to city centre. Carpark is same as Alhambra carpark but comes at discounted rate. Room is small but cosy and well equipped with everything (including bidet and bathtub). There's good security to the apartment - key card needed to unlock main door. Water pressure and temperature are great!

The staff were friendly from the moment we walked in. The concierge was quick to offer information about taxis and buses to the city. We had a big, comfortable bed. Great price as well. The hotel is in a quieter area literally across the street from the Alhambra. Perfect location for a visit to the site. The room was clean and looked to have been recently renovated. The only issue was that our shower was a little finicky and hard to set to a perfect temperature, but that is minor.

    Nothing

The location by the Alhambra is magical. The olive groves behind are perfect for a sunset walk, the property is away from the lively part of town so it was very quiet. The staff were all lovely, friendly and very helpful. They booked the entrance tickets to the Alhambra for us and organised a trip to the caves to watch a flamenco performance. The lack of breakfast foods. We arrived for breakfast at 7.45 and followed in a group of 25. This group had completely wiped out the cooked food and fruit on offer, very slow to replenish, leaving just toast and croissants which were burnt. For the price of 10 euros this was poor service. Restaurant just down the road 3 course meal 9.95 fantastic value and good food.

Location is awesome to visit the Alhambra, for the quietness, and for the views. Anything else (i.e. supermarkets) entails a (lovely) 10 min walk downtown, and then a 20 min uphill climb to get back. There was some incoordination at the front desk. I desperately needed a toothbrush and toothpaste, having forgotten mine and there being no supermarket around (see above). On the night of my arrival the staff couldn't find any kits but the next day some more senior staff could. Although clearly stated in the restaurant's menu, not including the 10% tax in the displayed prices is just cheap.

The views over the Alhambra, or the olive fields and south viewpoint, are amazing. The unexpected jacuzzi bathtub too (though we ended up not using it). The staff was helpful; with the new (Oct 2017) booking system they can help you get tickets to the Alhambra. Let them know ASAP (even before you arrive) if you couldn't book online on your own. Parking is at the Alhambra lot. If you're curious, the hotel rate saves you €2.65 per day (14.4%) over the lot's full rates. Always try Park #1, which is closest to the hotel and the Alhambra, even if labelled as full. For some reason they like to make stuff seem hard to get over there.

This hotel was very tired and in need of a refurb! The room was comfortable but tatty! Great location for the Alhambra Palace, although a long trek or bus ride into town. Breakfast was chaotic! Unfortunately the main restaurant was being refurbished and so meals were served in the cafe bar on the ground floor, which was too small to cater for the number of guests. The range of breakfasts was poor and the quality of the dinner left a lot to be desired!

Apart from the bed and pillows, the hotel was very comfortable with nice furnishings in lounge and bar areas. The location was 2 minutes walk from the Alhambra Palace and away from the hubbub of the city. Don't be put off by the look of the exterior of the hotel and surrounding buildings.
