Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandNothing much. Room is a little small but fine if staying just for a couple of nights
In a good location allowing you to walk to the city centre. The apartment was clean and had its own character. On street parking nearby but it could be hard to find a space depending on the time you arrive. Perfect place for a few days stay

Costa RicaLocation is fine but at least for me not the best, this is not the right the Center of the City, which maybe and advantage or disadvantage depending on people preferences, initially I was fine with walking down to the Center, then I was feeling tired to walk up to the place, and I ended up going back by Taxi. Additionally, people can have their own room/bathroom, however, the kitchen for breakfast and similar was shared and could be a bit messy when more than two people were sharing this space, at anyway it was OK
I like the attention by the host Ricardo, the room and the dedicated bathroom were clean and with good details and products normally not even expected. Breakfast is auto service, and it is good

BelgiumRicardo welcomed us with open arms, loved how passionate he was. It felt like a hostel for adults, you have more comfort and a full fridge and kitchen equipment. If you can chose, I’d go for the African room (all rooms are themed).

United KingdomI can't think of anything - especially as I believe air conditioning was being fitted as I left. I personally had no need of it in October, but it would no doubt be of benefit to summer visitors.
Super apartment, perfectly managed by Ricardo, who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Each room has it s own individual style of decor, different sizes and different facilities. My room, with an Indian theme had a small balcony and a lovely private bathroom just outside my room, but with my own key. I had everything I could possibly want both in my bedroom, and in my bathroom, Ricardo has an eye for detail! I believe other bedrooms had en-suites There is a nice communal room with large dining table and chairs where it is nice to have breakfast with fellow guests. The well equipped kitchen has the best stocked fridge I have ever seen, with every variety of fruit, plus fruit juices, cheeses, cooked meats, eggs and bacon, and milks. Also a great variety of pastries and teas. Everywhere was kept spotlessly clean by Ricardo, who takes great pride in La Casa de a Abuela Rosy. The apartment is in the old town of Malaga, and would be a great location for most people. However, I do have mobility issues, and therefore found it a longish walk for me to get to the very centre. However, I could/should have used a taxi which would have only been a few euros. All in all a great experience, I would certainly return, and recommend.

We had a one night stay, Ricardo was very welcoming and helpful from the start. We needed to book in early, which was no problem, and his directions and information about getting to the place and on things around the area to do were fantastic. Literally a 10 min walk to the centre. The kitchen area where you can make drinks and have your breakfast was fantastically stocked with everything you could want.

United KingdomThe room we had was hot overnight for sleeping despite two fans. However, if you don't like the heat don't holiday in southern Spain!!! :-)
This is a homely, welcoming, quirky apartment on the outskirts of Malaga. It was immaculately clean and comfortably furnished. It is a shared apartment with a well stocked shared kitchen for breakfast. Ricardo who runs the property was very welcoming, he wanted us to be comfortable, and lives up to the ideal of "Mi casa es tu casa" as a host. He provided lots of information for visiting Malaga and nearby restaurants. He also brought 3 of his 5 dogs to the apartment one day at our request. It's a 15 min walk into the centre of Malaga and there are good bus connections to the city, beach, and castle at the end of the road.
