Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery comfortable stay, and the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Even though we are vegetarians, they were able to provide us with a very nice evening meal indeed! There are lots of paths/caminos close to the hotel, and we were able to enjoy a nice run in the morning before we left.

United KingdomNothing!
The room was beautiful and it felt relaxing from the moment we walked in. The building had been expensively restored and this was reflected throughout. We enjoyed a three course dinner which was good value for money. It was particularly pleasant to sit in comfortable surroundings and enjoy a glass of wine. We liked the location and took a stroll around the town, which has several buildings of architectural significance. The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will go there again.

United KingdomI don’t know whether we took a wrong turn to get to hotel but in the small village we had to go down very narrow spaces ( being in a VW transporter with a trailer on the back 😳 ) I don’t know what we would of done had we of had to turn round it was nerve racking for me and I was only the passenger!! however we made it to hotel and found a different exit which was much easier, although not sign posted.
we were able to park outside in the hotels car park. The hotel had previously been a convent, so had a lot of character features. The receptionist was very helpful and although her English was limited we speak a little Spanish so we were fine: the room was very clean and ideal for an overnight stop : We had an evening meal Pan pumpkin soup which was very bland, followed by Spanish sausages eggs & a very small portion chips : for dessert I had ice cream, hubby had cheese. 17€ pp, so not too bad. There is a little bar at the reception where you can purchase drinks too. Outside at front there is plenty of seating to relax. I can’t comment really on the village as we didn’t walk all the way round it seemed very quiet - we visited one of the nearby eco parks Bardenas Reales Natural Park.

United KingdomNothing thought it was all great.
We were travelling from Santander to the coast and although a little off the motorway and in a quiet town this hotel was perfect. Our room was big enough and very clean with good WiFi. We heard church bells but these stopped in the early evening so no problem. The owners were so lovely, helpful and friendly. The evening meal was excellent value and much better than expected. Homemade starter and main course and a good dessert. All served with a smile and bread and drinks. We had homemade vegetable soup/ homemade leek pasty to start and ragout of pork and chicken in a honey and pepper marinade with chips and vegetables. All was really tasty. It cost 17 euros each plus drinks which were reasonably priced. Breakfast was cereal, yoghurts then a choice we had bread, cheese, ham and jams. We could have had eggs for a small extra charge. There was coffee and orange juice. Good value at 6.50 euros each. Our room cost 72 euros which we paid at the property when we left although our reservation was held by our credit card. When we left we used a map the hotel gave us and did a slight, recommended detour to look at the national park which is desert like with amazing rock formations, Bardenas Reales. It added twenty minutes to our journey but was worth it. Great stay we will return!

SwitzerlandBoring environment, besides of the hotel the village has not much to offer. The national park Bardenas Reales is around 30min away.
A family run hotel in an preserved historic building. Nice rooms with love for details. Spot clean. Beds were very comfortable and the environment is quiet. Parking on site. Small breakfast and dinner in the evening served by the owner. Professional but personal service was appreciated.
