I mis-read the description on this property and there is no elevator. Be aware being in an older building the wooden stairs are quite worn and smooth. Being over 70 and trying to bring a heavy bag up 3 plus flights as well as back down was difficult and scary. Then add in the heat of July during my visit. Not wanting to climb stairs multiple times a day made it where I would leave in the morning and not return to room until late afternoon.

The downside is that the towels weren’t changed during cleaning—maybe we should have asked. Also, It might be inconvenient for older people due to the lack of an elevator.

The hostel is very clean, above expectations for this type of accommodation. The staff is friendly.

The only problem was that the walls were super thin and it is a noisy neighborhood. We couldn’t sleep with the window open, and sometimes we could even hear the people in other rooms. The position of the hostel is great for sightseeing but the area is a bit crowded and somehow dirty..

The room was cleaned regularly, they changed the sheets, towels, and everything was clean. The location is walking distance to most of major attractions in the city center, as well as the metro station Sol. Going up to the third floor wasn’t a problem for us. We didn’t have any inconveniences during our stay, they even let us in before official check in hours cause the room was ready, and we could leave the luggage after our check out (in the other hostel, where you do the check in)

You have to check in one place and haul ass to another building for your room. Then you have to go up 4 stories and the steps are a hazard. They are not safe , they are slanted and weak, imagine then going up at least 100-130 steps with suitcases and backpacks . There is NO steady lighting . Only sensors that would turn the light for a few seconds only. It’s too bad they’ve decided not to properly keep this building up , because its location is priceless. But when traveling with family it is NOT worth the hassle of going up and down with kids and baggage

The three flights of uneven wooden stairs were potentially hazardous and exhausting after a day of site seeing. Stepping into the bath for a shower could be difficult for older people.

The hotel does not have elevator and is located on 4th floor, hence of you have large suitcases you will need to carry it upstairs.

The location of the hotel is amazing, right near sol Plaza and not too far from Plaza Mayor. The rooms were clean, tidy and well kept. The staff checking in are located at Hotel Adriano which is just 1 min away and are very helpful.

I can hear others talking through the wall very clearly, even when they speak quietly. It’s impossible to sleep. Everything is too loud.

The staff was very polite and all spoke english. Location is top. 5-20’ walk to all the main sights. Bathroom is a bit small but everything is clean and worked properly. Sheets and towels changed every day. The walls are a bit thin for the ones who have light sleep but for us it wasn’t a problem. Bed and pillows are comfortable and there is working air conditioning. Last day our flight was a bit later than our check out time. The staff offered to store our luggage in the hotel so we could enjoy the last hours.

Too much air-deodorant sprayed in the corredor. But I have a very sensitive nose. It might not be a problem for most people.

The bed and the pillow were like in a 4 star hotel, super comfortable! Nice closet with hangers, a safe, and a mini fridge. The reception staff was not just friendly but helpful. The location is very centric, and despite being in a "party" street, in the room was absolutely quiet! The room was spotless! And I have a desk with a chair in the room, so I could work comfortable. Internet speed is optimal. Natural light also comes in the room and curtains to make it darker for a good sleep.

I had trouble finding the office to check in and then I had trouble getting back to the room location. That wasn't so fun.

Surely the crazy stairs you have to climb up (and go down with your heavy luggages), and the fact that check-in is at a different place. Though it is not far, but it was a little confusing in terms of reaching to the check-in place (Hostel Adriano) and trying to figure out how to get into the door. Also, I did notice the spots on the towels (even though I don't use these towels) and also on the bed sheets.

love the location because it is centrally located, and can literally walk to any important or must-see places for Madrid within 20-mins. There are many choices of good entries around the property, and shopping districts, grocery stores are also within short walking distance.

3-4 flights of stairs. No coffee service, only amenity was soap in shower, small room. Although a frig provided. Check in was farther than you expect.
