Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaLots of noise from the street. If you rather be in a quiet place this is not. GPS access with car was a true challenge. We ended up parking at public parking near the river and not using the hotels parking lot
Location and staff were nice. Many places to eat, get breakfast and watch good flamenco show!

Great location, close to mesquite but not very noisy. Rooms have been recently refurbished. We enjoyed the roof terrace that came with the room a lot. Very good value for money

New ZealandCan probably only say, the bed wasn't so comfortable. Could do with an electric kettle or a little fridge BUT in saying that, it is a hostal and the price point is correct for the amenities.
The Managers/staff at the property were fantastic. They exceeded all expectation and were so friendly. Helped with the car in the garage as it was tricky. Available when I needed them on Whatsapp when my husband became lost. Great location even though inner old town is noisy, we still slept okay.

United KingdomAlthough car parking was literally around the corner, unless you speak Spanish, you will struggle with instructions when you have to call them up to open the car park gate! We arrived ahead of our scheduled time of 6-7pm but lost about an hour trying to get into the car park! A lot of no entry streets (including the one to the hotel) so unless you know the area you might struggle with navigating your way around. We received specific instructions via email but even with following them we ended up parking up on a pavement with hazard lights on then running around to hotel which was closed so quite frustrating! On a positive note it was only €10 per day 😊
Excellent location for La Mezquita! Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Very close to bars/restaurants/shops that had plenty to offer with reasonable prices. Only a 10 minute walk to the main shopping area. Manuel and the staff were very friendly and we were offered room cleaning and towels each day if required.

United KingdomThere could have been more pillows. Also the guests in the next room came in quite late and you could hear them banging about a bit, however this was only one 1 night.
Staff were friendly. Good size room. Shower was good. It was clean. Good location.

United KingdomThe adjacent building was undergoing a rebuild so there was some noise during the day but this ended by 6pm and didn’t restart in a morning until after 8am so wasn’t really a problem but best to be aware - obviously this isn’t something that will be a long term issue.
Super clean, we were given apartment style accommodation- so enjoyed the space of an extra room in addition to bedroom with en-suite. Having a fridge was useful too for cold drinks. All looked as if it had been recently refurbed so all in really good condition. Building separate from main Hostal Almanzor building. En-suite a good size with great walk in shower. Air con could also be used to heat apartment on a chillier end of November evening, which was when we stayed. Location for sightseeing and exploring the old city perfect. Just a 5 minute walk to the Mosque, Alcazar and Roman bridge. Lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Reception, during our stay manned by Maria, was also excellent - friendly and very helpful.

PortugalThe hostel garage was very hard to enter and park because it was too narrow. The hostel did not have an elevator.
The staff were super nice because we forgot our valuables at the hostel and they sent back to us. The location was perfect close to everything in the center.

The location of Hostal Almanzor was great. It's near everything you want to see the (Mezquita)easy access too restaurants which was great in the morning for breakfast. The view was of the street which I liked. I was able to walk to everywhere I wanted to go so the location was excellent.

AustraliaIt was poorly appointed. Whilst we had a kitchenette, there was no kettle and the cups were espresso cups! There was no cutlery though plenty of plates. A washing machine was not connected.
The location is superb. Right near the Mezquita in the old town. Plenty of bars nearby. We were surprised to have an apartment rather than a hotel room so space was a bonus.

PolandThe rooms and bathrooms were small. There was no fridge.
The location is really good, we had a car but it was too big (VW small SUV) to park in the undergound hostal parking so we left the car on a free parking just outside the old town on the other side of the bridge. It was just 6-7 minutes walk from the hostal. The rooms were really clean, AC was working good, the windows were on the street side but it wasn't loud. The carrefour supermarket is 2 minutes away and two breakfast places just outside the doors. We were there for one night and it was good value for money. The contact with hostal was friendly and fast :)

BelgiumAlthough the parking access was very well explained before arrival, the busy street traffic and rather narrow driveway made it into an experience for us - but, everything went fine.
We stayed in a small apartment a few meters away from the hostal. The apartment was very clean, the furnishing was basic, but everything was great for our one night stay. It was very close to Mezquita (we could even see it from the window). The staff was helpful (although we had to communicate in our broken Spanish), and helped us to check-in earlier.

AustraliaThe walls were thin, we could hear the conversation in the room next door. There was just one long pillow on the bed which we didn’t like.
Location was excellent. staff were very friendly. The room was basic but very clean. Good for the price. Airconditioning new and very quiet, which was good because there were lots of mosquitoes and we had to have the windows closed.
